Since we have been discussing tournaments in all the other threads, I thought we might as well start a thread to devote to this so we can get advice/coordinate meeting up.

So here are my plans:

Roland Garros - 1st 5 days (Sunday - Thursday)
Lexington (KY, USA) challenger - 1 or 2 days either qualies or finals weekend
Cincinnati - all 10 days (Friday night seniors - final Sunday)
US Open - middle weekend (Friday - Monday)

I'm not sure of where i will go, but these are my plans for 2006:
(confirmed tournaments in red)

Monté-Carlo: quallies+ 2 or 3 days
Barcelona: the whole week
Roland garros: saturday=>tuesday of the first week then the next week-end
Gstaad: sunday+monday+tuesday (+saturday+sunday if Gaston is still on)
Stuttgart or Kitzbuhel (or some days on each tournament)
Lyon: the whole week (It's my town ;) )
Bercy: tuesday and wednesday

If Gaston decided to cancel some of these tournaments, i will immediately do the same... He's not the only one reason for me to go to a tournemant but i won't travel anywhere if he's not... understand? :p

Great idea :) So far - my only DEFINATES are:-

Roland Garros 1st week - Sunday-Friday
Wimbledon - couple of days in the 1st week (just a few minutes from home for me!)

However - I have plans for LOTS more - which I will decide nearer the time - most likely of these being:-

Monte Carlo (quallies and 1st 2 days)
Either Munich or Estoril (it's my birthday that week so will definately go to one of them - just not sure which so far!)
Either Stuttgart or Kitzbuhel in the Summer
Madrid Masters (quallies and 1st 2 days)

Something tells me you may be right ;) I just wish I could go to Barca this year too - just have to wait and see! One of the good things about living in London during the European clay court season (sorry to all my US friends  ) is that nowhere is more than a couple of hours away, so if the mood takes me I can leave work on a Friday afternoon and be at quallies on Saturday morning!!

- well I already went to the Hopman Cup this week (and am going to the final tonight)

- Aus Open (qualies until halfway through second week, so about 2 weeks in total)...am leaving on Wednesday!!!

- not sure if there will be a Challenger on in Barcelona while i'm there in August, don't think so, but if there is i will think about going to it!

- more than likely US Open middle weekend

- possibly Bangkok at the end of September

Stuck here in the States with only hardcourt tournaments. :(

But happy too for you and the other lucky people that live in the UK and Europe.

Going to RG first week tuesday-wednesday-thursday.
Miami Masters don't know how many days yet.
Possible LA.

Had big plans for going to Vina del Mar but it fell through for this year. Hopefully next year I will be able to make it. (and David to!!)

:yeah: Echoing Lynn's thoughts and just hope all you Europeans realize how lucky you are.

Newport is on grass right after Wimby, and Houston is clay before Monte Carlo but I think I heard rumors it was switching from red to the green American stuff. Haven't really heard any glowing reports from either.

We can't place tennis bets online because it is illegal for us. So far our only ideas on how to get easy money is winning the lottery and getting a roommate. :help:

And did I mention my vLove (lives in France) is one of those gamblers? He's buying a puppy that isn't even born yet for 1000 euros. :o

Pathetic, isn't it?

We were born in the wrong country. I know I was at least.

I heard that too about Houston - not that I would go there anyway because none of the really good clay players go there - they are over in Europe.

I only got tickets for the 1st Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday for Roland Garros.

I am probably going to the qualies weekend of Indianapolis (even though I know David won't play there) and then the rest of that week I'll be at WTA Cincinnati.

My other plans haven't changed.

 It's quite alright Sue. He doesn't really stand out - I probably only know who he is because he qualified at Cincy in 2003 & ended up playing Gaudio in the 1st round. Also he is only a few months younger than me so I don't feel like a perv taking an interest in him. :o

LOL re *taking an interest!* He's played at the Liverpool tourny a few times now...I remember watching him last year, and I think the year before. I'll see if I still have the prgrammes from then and see if there are any pics of him for you.

Almost time for Wimbledon! My tent is airing in the garden and I'll be leaving on Sunday morning for the drive down there. Please pray for good weather.... as you all know the British weather is notoriously unpredictable and since I'll only be there for a few days I need it to stay dry! Lots of David ( and Javier!) pictures with my new camera are promised.

Have fun Sue :) Sorry - but you know my views on camping and Wimbledon :bolt: Unless I get free tickets or accreditation as I have sometimes in the past - there is NO WAY I'm setting foot in SW19! But - yes -I will pray for good weather for you - apart from anything else I need to do some gardening next week! Thanks for the photos :)

Have a great time at Wimbledon Sue. I hope the weather will be "camp-able". It's been years since I last spent a night in a tent. When we lived in Africa we used to go camping a lot. And it was always fun. :D Although I do remember looking like hell, after a few days of camping. Never enough time, space, etc. for my usual ...ahem... beauty routine.

Either way, I'm soooooo jealous, Sue. Make sure you update your David and Sue pic! :yeah:

Enjoy your Wimby this year! How has the weather been this week? I was hoping all the rain w happen before and after Wimby so that you can camp out in dry conditions.

Your pix are fab! They always are! ;)

As long as it stays dry...............actually my friend and I always have really good fun when we're camping and sometimes spot players walking past the tents on their way to the houses they rent...so I'll keep my eyes open!
Might not bother David with a pic this time- Wimby isn't as relaxed as the smaller tournies......hmmm, we'll see.
