First round matches, starting this Saturday. Crap odds, but it's betandwin. Others books should have odds up in the coming days.

Tony Eccles (ENG) 1.35 - Per Laursen (DEN) 2.95
Hankey (ENG) 1.15 - Albertino Essers (NED) 4.75
Mervyn King (ENG) 1.12 - Brian Woods (ENG) 5.25
Tony O'Shea (ENG) 1.65 - Tony West (ENG) 2.10
Shaun Greatbatch (ENG) 1.55 - Neils De Ruiter (NED) 2.30
Mareno Michels (NED) 1.85 - Paul Hogan (ENG) 1.85
Gary Robson (ENG) 2.00 - Gary Anderson (SCO) 1.72
Martin Atkins (ENG) 1.35 - Gerald Porter (IRL) 2.95
Martin Adams (ENG) 1.60 - Darryl Fitton (ENG) 2.20
Simon Whitlock (AUS) 1.85 - Andy Fordham (ENG) 1.85
John Walton (ENG) 1.22 - Steve Roberts (ENG) 3.80
Co Stompe (NED) 1.45 - Paul Hanvidge (ENG) 2.55
Ulf Ceder (FIN) 2.25 - Mike Veitch (SCO) 1.57
Raymond van Barneveld (NED) 1.10 - Brian Sorensen (DEN) 6.00
Jelle Klaasen (NED) 1.80 - Dennis Harbour (ENG) 1.90
Ross Montgomery (SCO) 3.25 - Vincent van der Voort (NED) 1.30

Barney is a 2.50 fav, which is too short imo. King is much better value to win the tournament @ +6.00 odds.

Darryl Fitton is good value to beat Adams. I rate Fitton as a 2nd row fav, just behind King and Barney.

I agree 2.50 is too short for Barney, but I really think he's going to win it!

Eccles hits double 16 under pressure to take his first lead of the match: 2-1. :D

And Eccles chokes again on a big stage and loses 2-3 to the cool Dane.

He was extremely unimpressive yesterday, he won 3-0 but couldn't hit a double. I expect him to improve as the tourney goes on, still the man to beat.

It's a goat!

Jelle Klassen looked great yesterday, 5.00 on him to beat King is tempting :)

Well well well that was some proper darts by my countryman. :worship:
But this tournament is turning out to be a total disaster for me, betting-wise. Already -7 units now, as my outright bet on King is down the toilet now. :(

Great call adee, did you put money on it?

Yeah but only very small  you can kiss my ass for the good call though ;) he's an amazing prospect, quality player. I love watching him as well. It has opened up the draw nicely for Barney which is good for me :D

A couple of observations :

1) Simon Whitlock has the most annoying wife in the world.
2) Does anyone else hate the guy that calls out the scores, the bald one that always drags out the score. e.g. ooooooooooooone hundred, or siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiixty. Personally I want to punch him

3) Jelle is one hell of a darter, but he really needs to change his introduction music.
4) Co Stompe will never ever win a Lakeside match in his whole life after his terrible showing on Sunday.
5) I want to punch the scoreguy as well.
6) O'Shea -1,5 sets @ 1.90 for me tonight.

had alot of money on Barney to beat Anderson tonight, his odds were only @1.16 , but made a nice pay anyway.
Veitch marches on, but the MASSIVE money bag has to be this Klassen guy, what a player! absolutely gutted that i didnt take him @3.33 v Mervin King, i had watched klassen v Harbour in r1 when he won 3-2 from 0-2 and shoulda done it but idiotically i backed the aussie Whitlock aka brett lee's twin bro.... and he got humped, by a scotsman , aye.. that tought me, fucking awful he was, couldnt hit his arse with a banjo that night... well least a scot won :yeah:
friday night is all about Klassen over Hogan @1.3 ... surely this is easy easy money... this dutch kid will wipe the floor with him and i can also see him winning the tourney.
Barney still scores bigger than any other player but he's not the same on his doubles this year, i can see Adams beating him in the semis.

off course, thursday night i meant, for klassen ..

friday is all about martin 'wolfie' adams. .. again @1.3 to beat Mike Veitch, should be easy money at my countryman's expense.
big wolfie was absolutely awesome to win that match 4-3 over Atkins from 0-3 down... constantly under 10o points left after 12 darts nearly every leg and hitting doubles in either 1 or 2 attempts, veitch will never live with that.

An all Dutch final.
Vamos Jelleeeeeeeeeee. :rocker2:

It was pure magic from Jelle after the break. The best darts I've seen all week.
Barney plays pretty quick normally, so he won't be bothered by an opponent who's slowing down the match, like today.
Let's see how generous the books will be on Jelle tomorrow. Barney's win over Adams looks huge, but it was more like Adams who came up with a absolute non-performance after the first few sets.

Xmas came early Strabvy :)
got @2.62 on Klaasen to beat Barney in the final, amazing odds...
i still think its a close call coz barney is getting a bit better as the tourney goes on, hitting his doubles better.. and he wont want to lose to the new young dutch star in a final...
i fear Barney getting the early lead, altho Jelle has had alot of great fightbacks this year.
i'll still take Jelle to win 6-4.
it is best of 11? or 13?
if 13 then Jelle to win 7-5.
cmon kid !!

I was expecting a bit bigger odds for the young matador. :(
Looking at the averages this week Barney should roll tonight. I really thought Jelle had higher averages then the 90 he has thrown this week. I think I'll sit this one out.

I covered my outright on Barney a little bit, but I would've won more if Barney had won it. Even still, I can't complain I had a great week. Jelle was incredible at times, he just goes on these rolls which are incredible. Then he kind of doesn't play for a few legs. If he can become a bit more consistent he'll be awesome.
