Mahut over Volandri @ $2.03 seems like value

Volandri didn't win a match on hardcourt last year, Mahut posted some good results in 04 beating Beck, Clement and Mirnyi. Volandri is an out and out claycourter so you never know this may well go the way of the Frenchman. Not sure if I will play this one yet

So far just Wessels @ $1.33 and Davydenko @ $1.20 tonight (Writeups in ATP Tour thread)

Not many of the bigger odds are doing it for me this week, my leans on Mayer and Robredo were right, but Chela let the team down. As long as they keep these overs coming with the short priced favourites I'll continue to get on board.

Good luck tonight lads

Saulnier $1.26 vs R Bopanna $4.55

Bopanna has only posted one respectable result in my eyes and that was a loss to Johasson 6-7 6-7 6-7 in DC at India. This looks like easy money here, with Saulnier more than capable of beating Bopanna. Only reason price is at $1.26 is the home court advantage for Bopanna. No play at the moment.

Does anyone know what the temps are in India at the moment. If it's as hot as when Tojo played in India it will be a no bet - if the conditions are a bit less extreme this should be money

mate, again, Saulnier is not worth it at that price.

be a bit more patient, look at today's games in Adelaide - Seppi and Mayer were at 1.60+ odds and they both won easily, just wait for another match like that.

Sorry mate, I'm getting a bit excited

You'll see a $2+ winner when I think one is overs mate. It's a long season, we're only a couple of days in so I'm not going to force out bets just for the sake of it.

When it comes to the short odds, the only reason I have been taking them is because I believed that they were overs. Long term gambling is multifaceted, however, ultimately it's all about getting overs. If you can continue to find situations where the chance of a player winning is greater than the odds predict, you should (in theory) be a successful punter.

Today I saw Davdenko beating Rochus 9 times out of 10 so therefore in my eyes the $1.20 was value. At the end of the day gambling comes down to personal opinion, thats why bookies are still in business as there is always a split in the betting.
