And I wish everybody a Merry Christmas and post here a translation of Igor's interview of December 20th (audio file, first part only: html file (http://www.radiomayak.ru/sports/05/12/22/41731-audio.html)/direct link (mms://video.rfn.ru/mayak/docs/05/12/22/41731/audio1.asf); the full story in Russian (don't pay attention on the picture): http://gzt.ru/sport/2005/12/22/210121.html) :)

- Best memories of this year?
Firstly, itís a victory of Kremlin Cup. Iíve got a lot of positive emotions. Generally, there were good weeks this year when I had no problems with my game, but there were failures too. I hadnít enough stability in my game, went high and low from time to time, and it was hard to return to my best level. Seems I have to be more serious with the trainings and donít relax during important moments.

- Changes in yourself?
In the end of the season I paid more attention and became more serious with the work I do on practices. Certainly practices and physical trainings are hard things but you can lose your best form very fast. And once I understood that I have to never stop, I need to continue to work, to train - even if everything goes easy and good Ė or one moment I can lose everything. You canít win something just for nothing. You need to work very hard.

- The best and the worst matches of this year?
The best one, perhaps, was the final match with Mathieu in DC against France. And the worst one... (thinking) there were many worst matches, much more than the best ones (laugh). Itís difficult to chose the only one.

- Missed tennis during the rest time?
I havenít had normal holidays because of my kneeís injury. I didnít practise quite good but couldnít have the normal rest too. Sure I missed tennis a lot and when I come to Spain I went to the practices earlier, during the first days, to play tennis longer. I had a month out-of-tennis so I wanted very much to begin to practise again. Now everything is ok with my knee so I practise according the general program and very glad to that.

- Differences in the preparation to the new season?
Since the beginning I couldnít prepare myself the normal way because of the injury. On one hand, I didnít feel any pain of the knee but on the other hand, I couldnít do hard work: run long crosses or, for example, I had to play on court staying on one place, almost without movement. Two weeks ago I started the real trainings Ė began to run more, play with the scores. I understand that the half of the month is too short period to reach the best form so the beginning of the season can be quite a hard one. From time to time, possible, it will be not enough of endurance, but I need to fight and even if something will be wrong Iím going to keep working and reaching the good form during tournaments.

- Your calendar 2006?
I have the 100% full schedule for January and February. Firstly there are tourneys in Doha and Sydney, then AO. Later Iím going to play at some indoors tourneys in Europe. Now Iím going to play all the tourneys and will check my station closer to the summer. To play every week, like it was at the last year, wonít be, perhaps, so right. If you havenít enough of the rest itís not good for your game. So Iíll check the calendar and will maybe take a break during some tournaments where I had a bad luck a year ago.

- Aims for 2006 except playing your own tennis?
Itís certainly good to play your tennis (laugh). But Iím going to try to play better than in the previous year, to reach better results. Itís hard to suppose, you never know where you play good. Everything has to be in the same time: great form and some of good luck. For the first turn I want to play this year without injuries. And results I think have to be good.

- Feeling of the New Year being far from home?
I feel the fest when I come to Moscow, here in Spain I havenít special New Yearís mood. The weather is warm, the sun shines. And for us New Year is a winter fest so you donít feel itís coming here. I met New Year in Moscow two previous years. But unfortunately, itís impossible for this year because the first tourney starts on January 2nd. But Iíll have an occasion to feel the New Yearís mood in the end of December. Going to come to Moscow for a couple of days.

- Think of some dreams in the New Yearís night?
What do I think of? (thinking) How itís possible to open your dreams?.. If I tell you it wonít come true. Sure I want, for the first turn, have no problems with my health, but itís better donít tell about the wishes.

- Wishes for your fans and supporters?
I wish everybody strong health and love! Enjoy tennis, itís a great game! Support us when we play! (laugh)

It's just quite a boring day today so I wanted to find something interesting and looked for some news about frenchies. And discovered this article (very nice one, no?) instead of... *as usually*... Though later I found some lines from the French side too =).
Don't know about Igor's forum but I know a forum where you can find an author of this interview (he should know Igor's phone number LOL).
