Well, he lost, but I saw him (shortly) for the first time today and he is really cute with his huge brown eyes! He looks better than in pics imo. (How do you say "des airs de chevreuil effarouché" in English? "Like a scared fawn" or something like that? )

Absolument.
The "little dive" was the "Picture of the day" yesterday on Eurosport! And they even have a video interview of him on the tournament website in the "interview" section, Mathieu is a star.

Danielfrenchfan has uploaded the video of the last points in her blog http://www.tennismedia.info/ (great blog, btw!):
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=50VBSR7Q
The commentator keeps complaining that the crowd was disappointing and didn't cheer Mathieu enough during the match!

Unfortunately, no. :p
Or at least we don't have any pics of them stripping off.

In Tennis Magazine, they said that during Mathieu and Gaël's match, girls kept on screaming "Mathieu, we love you!"... At one moment, the scream was followed by another one "Take off your t-shirt!".
For some reason, Mathieu did agree to take it off (God bless his exhibitionistic nature  ) but only if Gaël did so too.

^^

Anyways, :yippee: for his ranking...

"Mathieu, we love you!" This repeated cry (coming from a female voice) during the exhibition match between Mathieu Montcourt and Gael Monfils was followed by another one: "Take your shirt off!" There is also another short article about him, but nothing new for Mathieu's diehard fans  (always the same stuff, a few years ago he was competing with Gasquet and Monfils, but didn't manage the transition to the pro circuit, too many injuries, it's frustrating, but also encouraging to see the results of the others now, blablabla...)
So just for the pic, because it answers Grenouille's question -> Mathieu wears DIM underwear:

He hasn't won a single set since RG, poor guy.

Andy & Andy are doing great in comparison to Mathieu and Guille, Adam, they win a match from time to time, you can't complain!
I'm considering becoming a Federer or Nadal fan for a while. Just shortly, to recover from this depressive state. (Maybe they will start losing matches too if I support them!)
:scared:

Don't become a Fed fan! My love for you will be no more :awww:

But I'm afraid Roddick is way too good for this event, he might bagel them all.

Or maybe a tournament in the round robin format with Donald Young in the draw, so that they all have to play Donald Young once?

I must defend Mathieu here: he didn't talk about a "burn-out", I did with my crappy English.
He only said he should have taken a rest after RG because he "gave everything" in that tournament - OK, that's not completely different and it made me smile too :tape: , but "kind of burn-out" probably sounded a bit too dramatic!

I'm glad you are impressed by my incredible research work, Adam!
