Gaudio should be hanged for losing an exhibition match.

:haha:

If only it had been the Denthead standing in Gaudio's path during the early rounds of last year's RG, eh? Instead, poor Guille had to cope with the physically draining challenge of all those serve-volleyers.

Long gone are the days when people could claim gaudio's crappiness on pressure.
He can't beat a D-grade plyer like Taylor in an exhibition match.

The verdict is in, Gaudio sucks.

According to Gastón, he was happy he was able to move before the ball hit him in his body  I got to see him live, and he had a very powerful serve indeed, even if it was an exhibition

He won 7 games which is a vast improvement on the Masters Cup. It is good to see him going in the right direction. However, although he maybe ranked 5-10 on clay on the other 4 surface rebound ace, grass, decorurf and carpet I would find it hard to classify him better than 20-30. He has still not convinced me that he is a top 10 player except on clay.

And since when have exhibition matches counted for anything? Come on you have been around long enough to know that or is that a utopian idea.

I went to the Vilas cup the 3 days, It was a great tennis exhibition....I´m not gonna say the obvios things about the argies....
I just want to say that I was surprised by Dent level...I really enjoyed watching him play, and that I´m gonna actually cheer for him from now on...except against argies...

he seems like a great guy on court, he was having fun, interacting with the audicience....and even on monday when he lost to Nalbandian he was still laughing and playing with the crowd.....
I know its an exhibition, but I liked his attitude....

I agree about Dent. I was there when he played David as well, and he was great. I also liked to see him wearing the Argie t-shirt yesterday and asking the crowd for some applauses

After a practice at Cincy this year I saw him sign stuff for about 50 kids, he was really nice and good with them.

So Dent's serve is back? :yeah: Good to hear.

With Gaudio, it's all mental. Wasn't the latest theory that he's in love?

What theory are you going on about? Dent seems like a good guy and it's not surprising that he went over well with the local fans.

Wait Gaudio should be fined for not trying in an exhibition event.

Gastón didn't want to play real tennis, he just wanted to do some of his tricks, and it's an exhibition after all, so it's all good. The problem with Dent is that, since he's a serve and volley player, the tricks were very hard to do, so in the end Gastón had to play some tennis, even though he's on vacations.

You're not allowed to speak sense that is a crime here, exhibitions are more important than Slams. I just realised this now.

I remember one of the Brit commentators saying it. He is dating an actress, right?

That's old news, and they have been together for ages.

Exactly..., how can someone take seriously the stats or the scoreline of an exhibition match?

Good to hear Dent was well-received and had a god time there, esp. since he went at the last minute. Hope it means he's actually doing the fitness work people say he's doing and that it bodes well for next season :)

Hope everyone who went had a great time. As for Gaudio, it's an exhibition and from what I heard, people paid a lot to see it, so as long as people had fun that's all that's important:)

Dent wearing the albiceleste???? Geeez I thought that shirt was just for good players
Let's hope Dent apologises :p and the shirt sparkles again in Germany:bounce: (with the Italian and Spanish shirts, of course :p)
