Bernard Hopkins vs. Jermain Taylor II

Dont really know if anyone is interested in boxing, but its probably the sport i know most about. Ill give a lil preview for anyone whos interested:

Current Odds:

Hopkins 1.90
Taylor 1.85

Look around tho as there are better odds to be found.

Well lets go back 6 months. We have possible the best fighter in the world in udisputed middle weight champion Bernard Hopkins. Completing a world record 20 straight title defenses, he came into the first fight a huge favourite. Jermain on the other hand, was the up and coming olympic medalist. Jermain only had a couple more pro fights than Hopkins had title defenses.

The first fight started pretty slowly, Jermain was catious pumping out the jab and keeping Hopkins off him. It was weird to see someone actually dominating Hopkins since it hasnt happened since RJJ beat him over 10 years ago. Six rounds go and Jermains youth and speed led him to basically sweep all the rounds, without any real threat for Hopkins.

The second half of the fight is a completely opposite affair, Hopkins takes control and dictates the pace. He hurt Jermain on numerous occassions and almsot knocked him out. The fight was really a tale of two halves. The decision comes in for Taylor, ending Hopkisn run.

Fast foward to today, these two will rematch this Saturday. Alot of questions need to be answered like can Hopkins start faster? Will Jermain be more confident etc.

This fight is really too close to call. But with Hopkins wanting to retire after two more fights im sure he will be ready for this, the guy is a true professional. There is great Value for Hopkins KO at around $4, that is what i will be taking. I expect Hops to test Jermains chin again and do it early. Official prediction Hopkins TKO5.

In the two undercard fights i think Larios will win but not much value at $1.25 and Quartey shold win at $1.40, might be an ok multi.

Thanks for the kind words. I think ive changed my mind on this fight again. Im now thinking it will be Taylor who will win, so close to call. Might just keep away.

Also dont mean to nit pick, but Mundine-Green isnt until next year. Theyre fighting on the same card in Perth but against different opponents. Its to just raise awareness of their upcoming fight and generate some interest.

That match is a tough one to call,apparently Taylor talked it up in a press conference so Hopkins could be fired up for this one,a flip of the coin,i did like Taylor at start but maybe now Hopkins,too close to call!!!!

Larios should rip Vazquez apart but you are right at those odds not much value, and if there is any sport you don't take the juice its boxing :lol:

Hopkins to K.O Taylor is what im leaning on now!!!Revenge is always Sweet,especially when Hopkins is still seething from the last result which shouldve went his way!!!!

I cant see Hopkins being able to do anything different from the first fight, except maybe start quicker which will leave him gassed in the later rounds. Over the past 3 years Hopkins activity during a round has really dropped off, i think the quicker younger Jermain will out work him for a decision 8-4, hurting him bad along the way and possibly dropping him.

Pretty similar to the way i thought it would go, bit closer than i thought though. The fight really was a toss up, but Hopkins did nothing for the first 7 rounds AGAIN. Won me some good money so im happy.
