Which player do you think had the most disappointing season in 2005?

Hola Mr. SK

I'd say Lleyton Hewitt cuz he lost to the final champions in competing for GS titles(def. by Marat at AO,def. by Roger at Wimbledon & UO).Besides, he's in a big losing streak against Roger(0-9),and he'll probably lose to him for ever  . he just palys so good as to beat anyone except Roger.Tho he's gonna be a father :D .
um...for your reference your may say--- Marat, due to his injury  ;or Tim & Andre cuz its tough to claim a GS title in their ages  ; or Puerta, concerning the drug issue:sad: .
so who you think had the most disappointing season in 2005?:wavey:

Lleyton had a fantastic season when you look at how often he played.

Pathetic was Jiri Novak

Could you all be misreading it as English seems to be the second language here? Do you mean " a shame"? Pathetic is too negative for your use here.

Carlos Moya has had a pretty bad year...if you ask me! Last season he went to the Masters Cup and now...

If you want a pathetic season, have a look at this, 0-9 at ATP level and not much better at Challenger level....

I certainly wouldn't use Hewitt and pathetic in the same sentence as it regards his results.

He did manage to win 2 more games than Gaston Gaudio against Roger Federer, so had some success in the year.

Alan Machin did manage to win 2 more games than Gaston Gaudio against Roger Federer, so had some success in the year. Admittedly it was a 3 set match.

Sorry I had to go do some work  I guess gloomy is ok. I realise you were not using the right word. Let me think if there is anything better. English is my first language but my vocabulary needs some work here. :)

He did have a better season than most of the players, but he just couldnt defeat Roger, otherwise, he could've got more GS titles.

I do hope he'll do well in 2006 as Mary Pierce did this year. Nothing is impossible! ;)

Tim Henman. He just couldn't build on his career-best year of 2004  and he was plagued by injuries - hope he can do something better in 2006 before age finally catches up with him.

Marat won in Australia, didn't he ? Some players would have liked to have his pathetic season :)

I have to agree with Guga, Moya and Henman. I hope they all come back to the TOP next year. Right. :)

Tim Henman. 3 grand slam semi-finals in 2004 and ends in top 10. Injuries in 2005 and falls outside the top 30.
