He has agreed to play Kooyong, and I'm pretty sure he'll play the Australian Open, since he's agreed for all of 2006.

That's just press talk and it doesn't confirm anything about what he actually intends. As Joycomesmorning (the most accurate and best informed poster I believe on any forum!) noted in another thread in this forum last week, he hasn't confirmed either Kooyong or San Jose yet - two tournaments he has always played. I don't believe in fact that he has confirmed a single tournament for next year yet - even the Duabi thing as I understand it is that he is contracted to play there that week rather than another tournament (eg the new LV one) but that's different to confirming he'll play.
He's supposed to play two exos next weekend so maybe there will be some news from those.

Dubai is really confirmed!
The Problem is - "confirming" does not mean
that Andre will play for sure somewhere.
In this year Andre has confirmed lot of tournaments but skiped then them all (last was Paris) ;)

Situation with Kooyong & Australian Open is critical,
he even does not prove them. And I am in worry ... :(
Let's wait and see, guys!

Will Andre be an active player or we will only "chat"
about his previous glories...
As Pete Sampras's fans are currently doing! ;)

Yeha, "couple" of years ago Pete was nr1...

Common Andre, play one more season!
Play well!!!

Kooyong Classic 2006:
"The season's most anticipated prelude to the Australian Open, the AAMI Classic, returns to Kooyong in January.

Already Roger Federer, Andy Roddick, Guillermo Coria, David Nalbandian and Tommy Haas have committed to the 2006 event."

No Andre in the list yet...

AAMI Classic lures Ljubicic

Eighth ranked IVAN LJUBICIC was today confirmed by Tournament Director, Colin Stubs, as a starter in the 2006 AAMI Classic.

The 26 year old Croatian, who recently steered his country into the Davis Cup final against Slovakia in Bratislava (Dec. 2-4), made his first ATP Masters Series final in Madrid two weeks ago, going down to Rafael Nadal in five sets. He has won three ATP tournaments this year (Vienna, Zagreb and Metz) and was a finalist at last week's Paris Masters Series, where he lost to unseeded Czech, Tomas Berdych in five sets. He subsequently qualified for the Tennis Masters Cup in Shanghai (beginning November 13) and thus became the first Croatian since Goran Ivanisevic to do so.

Ljubicic will join ROGER FEDERER, ANDY RODDICK, DAVID NALBANDIAN, GUILLERMO CORIA and TOMMY HAAS at Kooyong, January 11-14. He was a late inclusion in the 2005 event, and was keen to return in '06. Stubs was delighted to grant him his wish: "Ivan, a very talented player, has had a wonderful year and is a most welcome addition to the elite eight-man field" he said.

Two spots are yet to be filled. Clarity with respect to Andre Agassi's situation is expected shortly.
