As much an Agassi fan as i am and how i want him to match Jimmy Connor's US Open semi appearance at 39, 2006 i think will be his farewell tour in tennis. I fear his injuries the last 2 years could reduce him to staying too long, expecially if the Australia and Flushing results tail off. Not to mention cortisone shots and that Jaden's of preschool/kindergarten age,
He still has the break the Connors tie for most career Top 10 finishes and HAS to return to Wimbledon for the first time since 2003, and i feel he'll do both in his farewell tour. Besides, no one thought when Scud took him out in 5 sets, that would be it for him, so he has to go back one last time.
Do i want him to win one more slam his last year, Hell yes i do. Will he get it, it won't be easy for a 36 year old father of 2. Here's his chances
Melbourne and Flushing are the usual best chances he has for one more slam trophy
Wimbledon no one knows cause he hasn't been here since 2003. The site where he won his first slam. This will be his last Wimbledon so does he make it count after a layoff ala 1992 following a 88-90 layoff
RG Avoid like the plague. No one wants an opening round loss then injury 3 straight years. If Agassi goes here again, then it'll be the end of his career, no more Wimbledon or US Open.
