:) Now that Rogi's 2005 has ended, what are your wishes for Rogi in 2006?

Great start, Mrs. B. I think if Rogi were to win just one title in 2006, that w be it for me! ;)

[maybe Rogi s improve his espanol... he could practise w Rafa and pick up a few tips at the same time -- "Rafa, how do you say 'rally' en espanol?";)]

I'd like to say FO - but its my least fav tournament tho realise it would be a fantastic achievement for him to win it - or even reach the final in 2006. As I'm a traditionalist at heart, I'm very happy to know that he puts Wimbledon at the top of his list - and not just for 2006 but for years to come. Does anyone think he could beat Borg's straight 5 titles? I certainly really hope for that! But my biggest wish is that he staves off Rafa (and anyone else) and ends 2006 still World No 1!!

1. Health
2. AO. A good start will lift off the pressure.

First and foremost, being healthy and fit for the whole year.

After that, win FO, defend Wimbledon, 8-9 titles, that's all I am asking for.

From the intervew after TMC final
.....think about it, but in terms of looking at 2006, do you have personal objectives at the moment that you'd like to share with us?
ROGER FEDERER: You mean my goals?
Q. Yes.
ROGER FEDERER: I mean, it's pretty much the same. Obviously, I think as long as I am No. 1, you know, No. 1 is going to be a huge priority for me, try to maintain that ranking. Of course, you know, it always starts with the Aussie Open, and that always gives you sort of a clue how the season's going to be. The last two Australian Opens were both fantastic. After that, I continued to play well. Wimbledon, will, my whole career, stay a big, huge goal. Maybe hopefully I can give myself another chance at the French Open, you know.

It's first time that Rogi talks about RG as a kind of his goal, isn't it? ;)

1) remain #1
2) More slams titles, specially in that order: RG, Wimby, USO, AO
3) Basel and TMC

Roland Garros for sure, it will secure him a top place in history, but the true achievement I'm dreaming about is the dubble RG-Wimby in the same year... in a way, I'm happy he lost an important final, it's gonna regenerate his motivation to start a great season...

Apart from all the usual goals, like wimbledon, No.1, or even RG, and above all health, I want him to win TMC in Shanghai.

Shanghai owes him one this time.

get married with Mirka

Not sure he'll have the time to do it... He will have enough time to prepare that kind of stuff after his career

Not sure he'll have the time to do it... He will have enough time to prepare that kind of stuff after his career :rolleyes:But she does a lot for him and her life basically revolves around him. And I think part of the reason he's been as successful as he has is because of her. So I'm of the belief he needs to do whatever it takes to keep her. At this point it doesn't seem like she's in a hurry to get married so I'm guessing they'll wait a few years. I don't think getting married would have a negative affect on his career. They basically live like a married couple anyway. Having children, now that's another story. It'll be interesting to see how it affects Hewitt's career.

I don't think it will have a real positive affect either... As you say they basically live like they were married so I'm not sure he really need to hurry to marry her... It's a huge organization so I think they should wait for this, and that doesn't mean that Roger is not in love with her... I assume he knows exactly how Mirka is important in his life, so let Roger make one day a wonderful wedding with Mirka...

And as you say, children is another story, and it could surely more affect Roge's career than a wedding.

I dont have a wish list, i know hes gonna win every Grandslam next year with RG being the only one that he might lose, but theres no one except nadal to stop him and Nadal is not going to have as good a season as he did this year (nadal even said so, he said he knows it will never happen again NEVER) Federer may go most of the year undefeated because none of the players know how and only on clay will he be challenged by the very best on their best day. Hes gonna win Wimbledon for the next 5-6 Years anyway. Name anyone who could stop him? Wat if Nadal loses early at RG? Coria took him to 5 sets at Rome, Gaudio BEAT him on clay, Federer has lost to neither man on clay since 03, so in other words he will only stand a chance of losing if Nadal meets him, but thats only a chance, everyone has a chance of doing anything. He will be adapted to Nadals game next year so its all over for Nadal. Hes gonna be so angry at the loss in Shanghai that he will work so hard and be so driven to win that he May only lose 2-3 matches next year. And probably go undefeated in finals again

If he were to win the French Open, that would do it for me. It would also be an extra bonus if he could roast a little piggy in claypot along the way

I agree, even if the double RG/Wimby would bring him to Borg's heights ;)

can't resist a wish list, though just echoing others...I wish for good health for Roger, Mirka and his family, so he can play this year and longer at his best level. I'd love to se him win as many slams as he can, let's see, that's 4, at last count, lol. Numerous Master's shields and the end of the year Cup for sure. I'd love him to keep #1 another year, be on lots of magazine covers, inspire articles and books.
