In the forum, Ivan says

Hi everyone, I just looked in on the forum after a few days and am quite surprised with the discussion that's taking place here. I don't know what caused it since I really don't recall that I made any statements in that direction. However, I have to admitt that I don't have the time to check every media in the world. I would just like to say in this forum that I have absolutely nothing against argentinian players, as indeed against any other type of player. I respect all my fellow players, and that should never be an issue. I hope you all continue to enjoy the masters cup. And remember, Bratislava is on next...

so i think people are getting wrong idea of what he is trying to say.

He's just the second player to be misunderstood !! And, each time, it's because of Coria !!

Well, Ivan made an interview for the French Tennis Magazine this month, interesting man :yeah:

Poor Mr. Misunderstood. Maybe we should create an award category for him.

He's just the second player to be misunderstood !! And, each time, it's because of Coria !!Just curious: what do you mean with "the second misunderstood player"? If you're referring to Feña in Madrid, there wasn't much to misunderstand really.

What is the whole discussion on the Ljubicic website about? Is it really all about Coria? The story with Coria was no big deal, he reacted when Ljubicic said "Coria should shut up and play", but he tried to smooth things over in his last interview.

If he would just stop saying questionable things about fellow tennisplayers then he wouldn't be 'misunderstood.'

No, more about his comments on David Nalbandian before their match.

No, more about his comments on David Nalbandian before their match.OK, thanks, that's what I thought too.

I'm sure Ljubicic doesn't mean it bad because everybody says he's a nice guy, but he's been constantly judging the other players lately and it's annoying. It's good if he becomes aware of this.
Same thing with Gasquet imo (I see Choupi translated his interview in "Tennis magazine"). There is no need to be so harsh with your "fellow players" when you give an interview to their home press. If Gasquet was that bad at the US Open, his trainer or his staff probably talked with him about it, Ljubicic should give him a break now.

*cough* *cough*

At the round-table interview of the TMC, when he was asked about his poor results in Grand Slams this year, he said to the media that "At Roland Garros, last year I lost to someone who was doping(Koubek), and this year again(Puerta)" and complained that why these doping cases were not caught earlier. Well...Puerta is still on the tour, and came here as an alternate, he won't be happy to hear that.
And before the match even started, Ivan was talking about the key-match between Nalbandian and him as if Coria was already eliminated from the group. And he was talking about things like "even if I beat Federer in 3 sets, I still need one set against Nalbandian, to get qualified for the SF", assuming that Fed would beat Coria in straight sets. Well, I bet he didn't expect that Coria managed to get one set 6-1 from Fed.

Well, I believe he was not mean when he said such things but sometimes Ivan's comments might be a bit too hard to others.

Mikey. Get out of Ivan's business, and start living your own life.
