OK I saw in a different thread that Nenad [Zimonjic] and Leander will split and that Nenad will partner Fabrice Santoro (now partnering Llodra). Paes will play with Damm.

What other new partnerships will there be? What partnerships will remain the same in 2006?

So..:

Nenad Zimonjic SCG & Fabrice Santoro FRA
Leander Paes IND & Martin Damm CZE
Bob Bryan USA & Mike Bryan USA
Mariusz Fyrstenberg POL & Marcin Matkowski POL

Nenad and Fabrice? I wonder why.

Jonas & Max will continue I am sure.

Really?? Seems unusual, considering Wes is predominantly singles... Is Stevie playing with someone else, or taking a little time out?

Really?? Seems unusual, considering Wes is predominantly singles...Bhupathi/Damm was a temporary partnership (July-November 2005) formed after Woodbridge decided to retire. Bhupathi asked Moodie to be his regular partner for 2006 & Moodie agreed. (Bhupathi made the announcement at the U.S. Open at his mixed doubles champions press conference.)Nenad and Fabrice? I wonder why.Llodra wants to concentrate on singles in 2006. His singles ranking fell outside the top 100 this year so he couldn't get into a lot of tournaments directly (& often missed qualifying tournaments because of doubles semifinals/finals).

What will happen to Kevin Ullyett, considering Wayne Black is retiring?

I *assume* that Mark Knowles & Daniel Nestor will remain a team, but I'm not sure,.

I understand that, but it doesn't explain why Wes...? Which is what I asked.

I am not sure also about Knowles/Nestor, not a great year for them - USO 1st round loss, and whitewashed here at TMC... Hmmm..

It will be a shame that the teams forming the TMC final are both going to split next year  I think it's good for Llodra to focus on singles because he has lots of talent. Good luck to all in 2006 :bigclap:

Yeah, but Daniel's been heavily injured. I think they'll play together and they will be good again ;)

On one hand I'm quite sad that it hasn't been a good year for them, but on the other hand I'm happy that a year when they won 2 TMS shields, 2 other titles, and qualified for TMC is considered a bad year.

...And Dan surpassed the $5 million prize money mark. :yeah:

I guess Ehrlich and Ram will remain as a team. I see them here in Canada every year and look how exciting their matches were in Montreal this year:

Montreal, Canada
Tennis Masters Series, 8-Aug-05, O, Hard , Draw: 24, Partner: Jonathan Erlich (ISR )

R32 Huss, Stephen (AUS )/Moodie, Wesley (RSA ) 7-6(2) 2-6 7-6(4)
R16 Paes, Leander (IND )/Zimonjic, Nenad (SCG ) 2-6 6-3 7-6(3)
Q Knowles, Mark (BAH )/Nestor, Daniel (CAN ) 4-6 7-6(10) 7-6(4)
S Bryan, Bob (USA )/Bryan, Mike (USA ) 7-6(4) 6-7(4) 6-4
F Black, Wayne (ZIM )/Ullyett, Kevin (ZIM ) 7-6(5) 3-6 6

Imagine if they qualified for Shanghai!

Yoni & Andy would have rocked at TMS ;) I think that they are a little bit inconsistent (DC anyone?), but when they are on, they can beat all teams. They are by far my most favourite team to watch as well

Yes I agree!! I wish that they had been more than alternates. Saw them play a few rounds in Montreal and then lose in Cinci but what a treat. :D

Huss states in this interview that he will team with Arthurs for the Australian tournaments (if Huss's ankle holds up):

Jonas & Max will continue I am sure.I'm curious about that too...since I see Jonas will partner with McEnroe at San Jose. I'm hoping that's a one-time blip to get doubles back on everyone's radar. I'd hate to see Jonas and Max break up. I thought they played quite well together.

The week before San Jose, Mirnyi will be in Belarus while Bjorkman will be in Argentina. Mirnyi simply may not have wanted to have such a quick turnaround so Bjorkman sought out another partner--one that will guarantee his own entry--rather than just waiting to see who's available on-site.
