:woohoo:

What a match from the French, especially from Fab! :yeah: That last point was just :hearts:. Micka didn't play poorly but he blew on quite a few important points but held his nerve in the TB. :)

Did anyone catch what Fab and Micka were discussing while signing off? Someting about the return. :p

They won't play next year because Micka wants to focus on singles, so ALLEZ in the final! :bounce:

i glad santoro won. I am disappointed as i couldnt find an channel that broadcasts the tourny. I am not too sure micheal can cut at in singles thou if he plays serve and volley he will have a better chance

His serve will be quite useful. He has won a singles tournament ('s-Hertogenbosch) on grass and he almost beat Tim Henman at RG last year.

Wow, I'm really happy for them too! I so wanted them to make a great result in Shanghai since it's their last tournament together.
The Frenchies rock at the Masters this year – after LA, now this. ;)What a match from the French, especially from Fab! :yeah: That last point was just :hearts:.We've got no coverage here, is there a video about the match anywhere? I'd love to see that last point.
How did the Bryans play, silverwhite?

Fab play wonderful defence on that last point hitting slices and lobs. The Bryans couldn't put him away and he finished it with an offensive lob and Mike Bryan (I think) barely reached it and hit it out. :D

The Bryans didn't get enough first serves in and were unable to make use of their power often enough.

Too bad I don't have coverage, but yay for Santoro all the same. Does anybody know who will be his new doubles partner for next season?

Yep, it will be Santoro-Zimonjic and Paes will now team with Martin Damm.

It seems like Bhupathi will now team up with Gimelstob.

If they win in the final, it will be a good end to their partnership.

Actually we're having great doubles matches this week. I do hope they're shown on TV, these matches are just incredible. Paes is playing unbelievably well. Santoro using his magics. Huss is playing very smart shots(Too bad he injured his knee in the final round, get well soon!). Black/Ulyett were so stable in the round robin matches. Knowls/Nestor lost their matches but they played some delicate points. Bjorkman/Mirnyi were the only pair who might be a little off their game.

BTW, have you read the transcript of post match press conference of Llodra/Santoro? The final part of the interview was just crazy. And these questions actually came from a young lady... :tape:

I agree. The tennis channel here in the US has shown all the matches. Very enjoyable and great tennis.

Very happy for Santoro and Llodra though not happy that they won't be playing doubles again. I watched Santoro in practice in Cincy with Gael, and he just cracked me up. Don't know if he's always that way, but he was totally funny.

And I'm tired of the Bryan brothers. I try not to diss players and I'm sure they're lovely guys, but that frat boy chest-bumping act has gotten old really fast. Really obnoxious to watch in person.

Isn't this a diss? And they are not obnoxious at all. They are a good team for doubles and good PR men.

Anyway congrats to Llodra and Santoro as they played a smart match.

Compared to how my favorites have been dissed over the last couple of months, this is quite tame.

But, you are right, it was a diss, and I shouldn't have stooped to that level.

Although I'm not thrilled with their on-court act, I should have kept it to myself. When you diss a player, you diss their fans.

So my apologies to all the Bryan brother fans. They do a lot off court to promote the game in the US so kudos to them.

Congrats to Llodra-Santoro. For their last tournament together, they are doing a great job. Maybe, they have been motivated by Amélie !! I'm not a fan but I respect them as a double team !! They played some great matches together.
