I'm watching Alias rerus on Channel 5, as I missed most of the episodes on Sky 1  It was the episode where Syd was devasted when it looked like Irina had set her and Vaughn up, when she didn't know it was reallyJack trying to get rid of Irina.

btw was Jennifer shagging Michael before of after she split with Scott Foley? :p

Murkofan
01-24-2004, 07:34 PM
Scott Foley came out and said there was no infidelity in their marriage, so the Jen/Michael shagging didn't start until after the divorce :p I thought it was very kind and classy of Foley to come out and say that.

I love Lena Olin/Irina Derevko.

BBB, where is Alias right now in Britain?

The last episode I saw was Sloane's *cough* execution.

Loved the episode where it was discovered that Lauren was taking orders from Sark, and that it was her that shot Lazaray!(sp?)

Has anyone here seen the 2-hour premiere of the fourth season yet because it was awesome. This is going to be the best season by far!

This season of Alias will certainly be better than the last :p I'm so glad a certain someone (don't want to spoil it for ya, Beebs :p) isn't around anymore :p

And since Lost rocks, and is also a JJ Abrams show, I figured this thread can kill two birds with one stone :p

Sydney, Sydney's dad, Sydney's mom, Sydney's sister, Vaughn, Vaughn's wife, Dixon, Weiss, Marshall, Kerry, Sloane...the list is rather long, actually :p

MAYBE BABY

By DON KAPLAN

January 14, 2005 --
AN unborn baby has be come the most impor tant character on ABC's hit show "Lost," fueling watercooler buzz and Internet chatter.

In a recent episode of the increasingly popular drama, the baby's very pregnant mother, Claire (Emilie de Ravin), was abducted by a mysterious stranger on the bizarre jungle island where the survivors of a plane crash are trying to endure each other and the dangers of their new surroundings.

In the weeks since the abduction episode aired, some fans are upset that the series' characters have not been actively searching for the missing girl and wonder exactly why the baby is so important.

"Why [are] they are not trying to find the pregnant girl?" a fan of the show e-mailed yesterday. "I'm really upset."

"Where is Claire?" echoed a fan called Matawna on ABC's official "Lost" Internet message board. "Why have they so easily given up looking for her? Even if they thought she was dead — why not go after [the kidnapper]?"

Fans are floating various theories about the baby — some think it might be the Antichrist while others theorize that it will be the key to the whole mystery surrounding the show's super-secret plot.

One thing is for sure — ABC released new promotional pictures of the cast this week, and in the new shot Claire is not pregnant anymore. An episode titled "Homecoming" is slated to air during February sweeps, and fans are speculating that it might mean that Claire is finally rescued from her abductor(s).

Each week the show jumps back and forth between the characters' current situation — marooned on the island — and their back stories about how they ended up on the doomed flight.

In Claire's case, she was given the airline tickets by a psychic who convinced her to fly from Sydney, Australia to Los Angeles, where he had arranged for a couple to adopt her baby. He told her that the baby was extremely important to the future of the entire world, in great danger and needed to be raised by her because she would have a "positive" influence on the child.

After the crash, Claire began to wonder if the psychic knew about the impending disaster all along and tried to kill her and the baby. Soon after, she was abducted by a supernaturally strong man posing as one of the passengers.

Bring back Claire and the baby! :bounce:

Yeah, I saw it! I thought that monster was going to eat little Walter. Plus Claire and the baby found it's way back in the end. But what about sweet Vincent? I'm thinking he's gone.

I can't figure out if Claire is still pregnant or not.

I have descriptions of the next three eps. If don't want to be spoiled, speak now or forever hold your peace. If nobody speaks, I'll post 'em tomorrow.

Spoilers! I'm skipping space in case not everyone wants to read 'em.

#15 "Homecoming" Charlie-centric: After the missing Claire returns with no recollection of what has happened since before the doomed flight of Oceanic 815, Jack and Locke formulate a plan of defense against her kidnapper, the mysterious Ethan, who threatens to kill off the other survivors unless Claire is returned to him. (Claire doesn't remember Charlie??? :fiery: She doesn't remember the PEANUT BUTTER???? :fiery: Her amnesia better not last long :fiery: )

#16 "Outlaws" Sawyer-centric: Kate and Sawyer divulge dark secrets to each other while tracking a renegade boar that Sawyer swears is purposely harrassing him. Meanwhile, Hurley and Sayid worry that Charlie is losing it after his brush with death, and a shocking, prior connection between Sawyer and Jack is revealed. Robert Patrick guest stars. (A boar purposely harrassing Sawyer is just :haha: )

#17 "...In Translation" Jin-centric
#18 "Numbers" Hurley-centric
#19 ? Locke-centric

*Jin -"A run-in with Ethan will leave him injured."

*Charlie- "A threat to the recently returned Claire's safety will lead him to a shocking act." (I hope he kills that bastard Ethan :fiery: Not that I really want him to become a murderer, but, well, Ethan did try to kill Charlie first, and he hurt Claire :fiery: And Charlie lurrrrrrves Claire :hearts: )

*Shannon - "Claire's reappearance will trigger a softer side of Shannon." (I like Shannon :p I can't help it :p)

*Sayid --"His flirtation with Shannon will grow more intense." (:D)

*Boone -- "A mistake will inadvertently lead him to Walt's Lab, Vincent." (A mistake? Boone is so hopeless :rolls: But hey, Vincent's alive! :D)

*Kate--"During a drinking game, Kate will discover she and Sawyer have something major in common." (...They're both criminals? :p)

*Sawyer--"In flashbacks, Robert Patrick provides Sawyer with intriguing information regarding his parents' deaths." (Sawyer :ras: He's an ass.)

*Hurley-- "Hurley will get a chance to show his heroic side during an adventure in the jungle." (HURLEY! :bounce: )

Claire doesn't remember anything :fiery: But she's alive :D and then she remembered the peanut butter :hearts:

I'm such a sap :o :p

I'm down with Charlie killing creepy!Ethan. As he told Jack, I doubt Ethan would have talked, even if Sayid tortured him.

Jack and Sawyer still annoy me. So excited that next week seems to deal primarily with them and Kate :p

More :hearts: for Shannon cleaning a cut on Sayid's arm near the end of the episode.

I'm so happy Claire is still pregnant, the previews for this eppy left me thinking she wasn't. :( Glad she is back.

Jack and Sawyer do anything but annoy me. ;) Sounds like him(Sawyer) and Kate get it on next time. :p

Shannon kinda turned me off when I saw her and Boone in the look-backs. ;)

Claire and Charlie and the baby makes three :hearts:

*cough*

Jack annoys me because he can't make up his mind :p Does he want to bang Kate, or get up in her face and bitch her out for being a liar? :p I think he's a good guy, but I could go on and on about why he annoys me, so I'll stop there :p

Sawyer annoys me because he's assy and antagonistic for no good reason :p His childhood issues are not a good reason :p

I can't help liking Shannon :p Lazy and manipulative though she is, I know there's a heart o' gold down there somewhere :p She and Sayid are just

Jennay
02-10-2005, 11:08 PM
The obvious compromise for Jack is just to bang her while screaming in her face that she's a liar. :p

I like Shannon and Sayid as a couple as well. Knowing Boone will do something about it makes it more interesting. ;)

Gacked from TWoP :p

As some girly guitar song plays over the soundtrack, we switch over to the Recovery Room of Comatose Sisters. Weiss is standing by Nadia's bedside doing a lame magic trick. I'm sorry. It's lame. I love him, but…lame. Nadia seems to dig it, but she's also on tons of drugs, so, what the hell does she know? Syd enters, and Weiss leaves. The sisters have a chat, with Nadia asking about Anna and the bomb. Syd tells her they nabbed them both. "And hey," says Nadia, "we didn't kill each other." Yet.

Elsewhere at the Apple Store, Jack's filling out some paperwork as Sloane approaches. Jack tells Sloane that he's acting director again because the Anna case is closed. Sloane tells Jack that Nadia's out of her coma. Jack's all, yeah, how 'bout that. Thank god she pulled through. Sloane's all, yeah, why don't we leave God outta this, eh? He goes on to say that he's onto the whole wake-up drug scenario. "As a professional courtesy," he says, "I would like you to justify your decision." Heh. Jack's all, uh, remember that part where you told me to get Anna by any means necessary? Sloane's all, I'm evil, not AUTISTIC, dumbass. Of course I remember that part. But I don't remember saying you could risk my kid's LIFE. Jack's all, uh, you indicated to me that this wasn't Nadia's time, dude. You said she'd pull through. "Don't tell me you're losing your faith," Jack quips. Heh.

"When I stepped down as director of this task force," says Sloane, "you had full discretion. I'm not going to argue with your choice because the mission was a success. But I would have appreciated, as a father, to be apprised of your decision to my daughter's life at risk." Heh. "As you do mine, every day," snaps Jack. Nice one, Jack. "When I accepted this position," says Sloane, "I made two agreements: one with Langley and one with you. A pact." "That's still in effect," says Jack. "But only because my daughter is unhurt," says Sloane. "I wonder, Jack, what assurances I have that you will continue to honor it." Oh, man. These two are up to no good. I TOLD YOU SO.

Next on Alias: It's hard to tell from the preview clip, but it looks like Jack gets beaten up and Nadia tries on an expression other than beatific understanding. Namely, she looks pissed and, dare I say, eeeeevil.

1) Could Vaughn's father still be alive? If he is, I think somehow he was/is in cahoots with Irina (who is soooooooo not dead).

2) Nadia, Sloane is an Evil Bastard. Yes, I know you love him for some reason, and yes, Syd probably should have come clean with you from the beginning--but seriously, he's an Evil Bastard. Be glad that Syd and Dixon didn't just blow his brains out.

3) For some reason, I got the vibe that Sloane isn't really Nadia's father. Something to do with nobody knowing Nadia's real birthday. I think either Jack or Vaughn's dad will end up being Nadia's father.

4) Could this spat between Syd and Nadia be the beginning of a schism that will lead to Nadia's vision of them facing down and one killing the other? God, I hope not :scared: Just let them be happy, dammit! :fiery:

Damn, I love this show :D We are on episode 5 in the UK, Jack's flasback episode. Atm, my fave characters are Charlie & Sawyer :bounce: Sawyer is such an arsehole, how can anyone not love him :p My 2 fave characters are the bastard & the crackhead, I guess that is slightly worrying :p Charlie & Claire would make a cute couple :hearts: I wonder when the obvious Jack & Kate love connection will happen  :p Also, after tonight's episode I sense a little sexual tension between Kate & Sawyer  Kate still annoys me, but she is a criminal so I hope she picks Sawyer :p Jack is nice, but dull :p I don't like Shannon or Boone  I like Locke though, he's interesting.

She got to wear her bikini & frolic in the sea without any fuss :D :p Shannon & Sayid were really cute  I wish Boone would butt out  (Shannon will never love you as anything more than a brother, get over it! Even though, I did have sympathy for the way she used & abused him :p) and it was Walt that set fire to the raft  didn't see that one coming! But, it's so annoying how Locke knows every god damn thing  :p

Yeah I'm none too happy about who got axed. That's part of the reason I don't really watch the show every week..it's too risky to like the characters and then they'll be dead :(

btw Cilla you guys are close to the end of season 1 :) Boone  You described episode 19..there are 24 in season 1.

I actually find season 2 moves a lot slower..it doesn't seem like a lot has happened but it's already 9 episodes in

The final episodes of Lost  Ack, my Wednesday nights are going to be so empty soon  :p Part 1 of 'The Exodus' was on today. I really liked the flashbacks from all the main characters; I had to laugh at Shannon & Boone's flashback, when Shannon was in bitch mode and reported Sayid to security to try & get an upgrade on the plane

Shannon: "An arab man left a bag unnattended down there."
Guard: "What did he look like?"
Shannon: "Erm, Arab."

So sad that Sawyer & Kate didn't get to say goodbye  When she was asking for him & he wasn't around, and then he was looking for her before he set off on the raft

Omg, Lost finally ended here tonight! I wanna know what's in the hatch :fiery: I knew that would be the cliffhanger  :p I still wanna know what the numbers mean, are they really cursed? :tape: at when Artz got blown up to shreds :tape:

Hurley to Jack: You've got a bit of Artz on you. :haha: :haha: :haha: and when Locke was like "buzzzzz" & faked to Jack that the dynamite had exploded :rolls: I let out the loudest hoot of laughter :p

I wonder who were the people that attacked Sawyer, Michael, Jin & then snatched Walt? Why would they want him? (Even though, they can take him & never return for all I care, because Walt is so annoying :p) My Sawyer got shot, nooooo! So many questions left unanswered, but I guess that is the beauty of it :)

Channel 4 is bringing back Lost in about 2 months due to public demand :bounce: normally we would have to wait for a second series for about a year. But, I won't cry, as Desperate Housewives season 2 takes it's slot next week! Woot!

I have the same problem! It really went downhill after season 2 (stupid fast-forward jump!) though I did like Nadia. The show should have ended with Sydney and Vaughn married, Nadia and Weiss (who, btw, is in the new NBC show Heroes) married, and Jack and Irina remarried :p

My sister loves McDreamy, but wants her to pick Finn because she adores Chris O'Donnell :p Personally I think Meredith needs a little alone time before jumping into a relationship with McDreamy again...and he needs to get some balls and tell his wife that he loves Meredith and wants a divorce. He's not being fair to any of them.

I heart George and Callie.

Grey's Doc Spins Off by Gina Serpe
Thu Feb 22, 6:59 AM ET

Los Angeles (E! Online) - The good doctors at Seattle Grace may be focused on resuscitating Meredith Grey, but it's another female character who's moving to a better place.

ABC is attempting to duplicate the juggernaut success the network has achieved with Grey's Anatomy by moving forward on a spinoff centering on Kate Walsh's character of Dr. Addison Montgomery-Shepherd.

A network rep says that a series title has not yet been determined, nor has a general plot—whether Walsh's character will remain in Seattle, move back to New York or do something else entirely is still up in the air.

"We are producing an enhanced episode that has a potential for an afterlife," a spokesman for producer ABC Television Studio, the series' producer, said to E! News. The rep declined further comment.

Walsh and Grey's Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes are under contract for the new series, according to the Wall Street Jounal, which was first out of the gate with news of the possible spinoff; neither would comment Wednesday.

The show will apparently give plenty of screen time to Addison, who has emerged from hated third party in Grey's Anatomy's central love triangle to become one of the most popular characters on the show.

The spinoff would allow Rhimes to be able to focus on a single character, something that is hard to do on the current show, where story lines and screen time are divvied up among 12 regular characters, something Rhimes herself has said is hard to juggle.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Rhimes only recently broke the news of the spinoff to the cast, and it's not expected than any other characters will jump ship along with Walsh to the new series—potentially disappointing (and spoilerish) news for fans of the budding Addison-Alex love connection.

The cast will, however, be involved in the set up for Addison's sendoff. Rhimes is writing a special two-hour episode of Grey's Anatomy that will effectively serve as the Addison-centric series' pilot.

Both Taye Diggs and Hector Elizondo have signed on to guest star, though it's unclear whether they would have starring roles if the new series is picked up.

The episode will air during May sweeps, allowing time for the network to decide whether or not to place the spinoff on its fall schedule. (In other words, ABC is waiting to see if the premise is more Rhoda than Joey.)

As it is, Grey's Anatomy, currently in its third season, has routinely topped the Nielsen ratings and just last week averaged 26 million viewers. Even a portion of those figures for the new show would make it a success.

Rhimes has reportedly put on hold another of her anticipated projects to move quickly on the spinoff. It's unclear when she made the decision to pursue the new show, but last fall she postponed work on another drama series that was expected to debut midseason.

That show was due to chronicle the lives of four female journalists and also had Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Grey's Anatomy's late Denny Duquette, on board to star. That project will now be pushed back even further.

Thoughts?
