we always want to see how things woul'dve played out if events turned out differently. how about discussing your whatr-if theories?
i'll start...
what if fed didn't play tennis?
1. roddick would win 3 wimbys in a row.
2. nadal would win 12 titles in 2005 and become number 1
3. hewitt would've had the chance to win 6 more slams (6 times lost to fed on his way to win those slams)
4. andre may have already passed sampras' 64 titles

what if sept 11, 2001 happened before the USO final?
would it have still taken place? if not, then hewitt wouldn't be the USO champ

I think Andy would have won at least one of the wimbledons in the past 3 years. I do think Mark would have beaten him in 03 and I think Hewitt might have gotten him again in 05. Nadal would be number one in 05 for sure and Hewitt might have won Oz in 04 if not for Roger. Andre would have won some more titles too.

*off topic, but...Remember the Goodwill Games?? They were similar to the Olympics, only they had winter and summer sports combined...They ended just before Sept 11, 2001 like the US Open...And in 2005 they were supposed to have another Goodwill Games, but the sponsors dropped the event, and it will be no more...

If it weren't for Federer, I probably wouldn't be paying that much attention to tennis at the moment.....therefore I wouldn't even be aware of this board.

I think Hewitt would have won many more grand slams. I think Hewiit would right now have between 6-8 slams if Fed did not play tennnis. Then he would be really huge stuff

No no, think of it this way - if his grandmother had a dick, he wouldn't exist! Now I call that a win. :D

Bjorn Borg had not retired at 25 (by which time he had won 11 grand slams) he would many more.
