Kunitsyn is not a "no-name", but a hot prospect for the future

:worship: I mistook Kunitsyn with Korolev :worship:

But anyway, Kunitsyn had some decent runs in Russia this season AFAIC

And to think he played a Challenger only to Become UK No. 1 and even that failed ..... ugh, its got to be painful to be Greg this time of the year.

Lol, this is quite funny, very funny in fact.

Next year's gonna be his last season.

This was Rusedski's last chance to end the year British number 1. Next year Andy Murray will end the year British number 1. I thought Rusedski was Canadian anyway.

plus his surname sounds for some Polish roots what would excuse some losing aspects of the nature ;)
and Kunitsyn is developing slowly, but still moving up. However he lost today to Falla from Colombia in straight sets

Igor Kunitsyn is a highly talented player, who I believe to be capable of beating any player outside the Top 30, or maybe some within the Top 30. However, he also seems to have some mental problems.

If you see him play, though, I am sure you'd agree :yeah:

Igor Kunitsyn is awesome, seriously.

I nearly spit milk out of my nose though, when I saw this result. Not because of Igor in the least, but because Greg's plan to go massively out of his way to finish as the #1 Brit was foiled.

Igor is at his best at indoors.

Greg keeps losing his concentration..

I did find it somewhat stupid for Greg to go out of his way to get Brit #1 like that. It was a little over the top.

Okay, he may have wanted to end the year #1, but he will still likely touch Brit #1 next year by March. Most of Henman's points lie in the run-up to the French Open...Greg didn't win back to back matches until Wimbledon really.

Indeed. Igor is only a no name to people who have no knowledge of players outside the top 10.
