i am not sure he is overrated, he is still young/new. however, i think he has a better chance at a grand slam than tim henman. i hope he does improve and do well.

You're a message board freak. I know it's hard to accept the truth.... but the truth it is... and accept it... you must.

I hope you have second thoughts and stay.

I'd have to agree with you on this one, anytime you declare that you have "MTF haters", it's a clear indication that someone would need a blow torch to get you away from the computer.

If you're a brit and you take to tennis it's your destiny to be overrated.

In Murray's case, however, I'd say he's got the talent, and surprisingly so, because I was sure his junior USO title had been blown out of proportions, but he did rather nicely for a rookie.

His main fan is a pain in the ass though.

I agree completely, how is he going to win a slam when nadal, djokovic, monfils, baghdatis , berdych , gasquet etc are still 20 or under eyars of age! He wont wein anything that major, maybe he can aim for top 10 but i dont like him or his attitude.

I am not a fan, but I believe he has just as much in him as those guys. Nadal and Gasquet are obviously a tag above at the moment, but I think only Gasquet is going to last very long. Nadal is killing his body with his defensive style. Gasquet is going to be tough, but Murray has as much talent as those other guys, if not more.

Next year will be key for him. He is hugely confident right now and has the ability to make the top 30 by Wimbledon if he continues as he is.
However, if the results don't come, he will lose confidence pretty quickly and his game will look pretty ordinary I think...he could end up in limbo for a little time.

His schedule will be very important, I think. He has proven to be a great talent on fast surfaces, and even though he says he grew up on clay, it will be on fast courts where he will do real damage.
