I don't know where to put this, but I can't get PPlive to work. When I click a program, it says Syncast is not a registered protocol. And when I do it from the program, it says I have no connection. I use Firefox, and duh I'm connected to the net. Help?

You're kidding me, right? That's the version that i have. I installed it two days ago and i even managed to connect to CCTV5. Once.
I have about 5 channels called CCTV5 and none of them is connectable. The first time it connected the picture was a bit better than on SopCast and that's the only reason i didn't get rid of it yet.
And... i don't have ESPN2 on it either

P.S. i think that this thread belongs to Non-Tennis section. :bolt:

After the new versions appeared ( from 1.0.9.2 to 1.0.9.8 ,which is the lastest ) , the old version 1.0.7.4 is working very bad , right now PPlive is a chaos for a lot of persons . A chaos because of the fact that the new versions don't work for a lot of persons ( although it's true that others persons can use them without problems ) and a chaos because the 1.0.7.4 version has hardly channels available and works badly.

Before the new pplive versions appeared, PPlive 1.0.7.4 worked almost perfect and was considering by a lot of persons as one of the best P2P programs, but right now is a chaos.

The quality of pplive was much much higher for when I used it during the US open. It was at 800k. I thought it was awesome. But it wouldnt run for me at all last night.

PPstream translated : http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fppstream.com%2Ftv%2Fmxie. htm&langpair=zh-CN%7Cen&hl=es&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&prev=%2Flanguage_tools

The translation is made by a program, so a lot of times the translation makes no much sense

I guess you are talking about CCTV-5 at 800 kbs. In PPlive there are/were usually several CCTV5 links with different qualities and the user can choose among them . Normally you need more than a 1MB of download speed to watch correctly CCTV-5 at 800 kbs.

I gotta go :wavey:

Wow, that's awesome, thanks!! :worship:

Do you know if there's much difference in the quality of the picture when you run it from the web instead of the program installed on your pc?
I try to run Shanghai Sports now and it stops every minute or so. Is it normal?
