When I was younger : Mats Wilander, he made me discover tennis
For which player I continue to watch tennis nowadays : Fernando Gonzalez
I consider that Thomas Enqvist and Carlos Moya will end very soon their carreer, they made me dream a lot and I enjoyed my time watching them, I planned to stop going to the tournaments after their retirements, but a few months ago, Fernando proved me that it was a bad idea :)
Female player : Gaby Sabatini. I was a huge fan

I first started watching tennis in pre-school/kindergarten with Borg and Johnny Mac.
Then I loved to watch (and had huge crushes on) Edberg and Wilander. :inlove:
Watching Becker win his first Wimbledon was exciting and really made me focus more and more on the wide array of players in tennis and not just focusing on one or two.
My favorite female players were Gaby, Graf (first tennis superstar that I saw live- at the Family Circle Cup in Charleston, SC) and Seles.

In the 90s, I was so bored with the players (not naming them) that I almost stopped watching.
Then Guga came along, and my love for the game came back and with it a love for the clay court players.

The first match I had seen in full was the Federer/Sampras 2001 Wimbledon match. (I was 14) Before then, I thought tennis was boring. Boy was I wrong. So I guess Federer got me hooked, and keeps me hooked. Safin also plays a big role now.

Jonas was the one who brought me to tennis, by his impersonations during a rain delay on tv one year  Before this time, I loathed the sport, thought it was sooo boring without even giving it a chance ;) I saw him a couple of years after this, in DC, and it pretty much cemented my love for tennis/swedes.
Jurgen Melzer is my heir to the throne. Watching him play, how pumped up he can get (he can also be reasonably boring) and his attitude generally impressed me. It's hard to explain what I like about him. The whole package I suppose. There are so many people out there who dislike him or his game, and many who don't even know (of) the guy.
I don't believe in the WTA so this will have to do ;)
