I hope the Aussies win, some of the lads deserve to play in a world cup. But its kind of nice knowing that there's 1 sport that you don't dominate :p

Australia has better chances this time than the last one. They'll be playing the second and decisive match at home, so it depends whether they can or not stand the wild pressure in the Centenario in the first match and get away with a good result (a draw or a minimal loss). And also they'll have to be careful with the murderer defenders: Paolo Montero and Diego Lugano. These guys will for sure be hunting the legs of the australian forwards during the 180 minutes.

Yeah BG i feel the same,Come on Viduka!!!Hope Kewell gets a run but most likely on the Bench,Stan the Man Laziridis is fighting off his injury aswell!!!!

Most interesting thing will be what line up the Coach will go with!!!!Viduka upfront alone but who's gonna be the feeder's!!!!Thompson will love Bresciano feeding him some through balls, but like ya said about Kewell and the pass was
scincilating!!although his shots for goal werent!!!!What's going on wit Cahill,i was hope he would be the suprise packet but his been down of from big time!!!!

Guys i am thinking to take under 2.5 for first legt and bet big on it.
The idea is that Ozzies will be mainly defending and the game will be full of fouls. Also its a first leg and teams will play carefull ,although hosts will try to win ofcorse.
The main worry is of Australia scores then it will open up the game completly as hosts will try to win it (2-1 or 3-1 ) and kill off my under.
What do you think guys? Is under high stakes worth a shot here.

sports freak
11-12-2005, 08:38 AM
Thats a tough call ika geo,i feel that Aussies want to get a goal in Uraguay!!!so maybe 1-1 result could be good!!!but if Uraguay gets 2-1 then Aussie can go through wit a 1-0 at home but in sayin soo Uruguay will come out hard aswell!!!If you can go unders and a back bet on Uruguay 2-1!!!But the more i think about it,actually leaning on unders!!!

Good luck on what eva you play!!!Hoping for Aussies 1-0 win but a 0-0 or 1-1 isnt too bad!!!

ika_geo
11-12-2005, 08:47 AM
Overall i see a game with full of fouls and little chances for goals. If Urugvai scores 1-0 or 2-0 i think they will be happy. But Goos's comments about getting an away goal to be crutial and how hard he will try to get it is a big worry for me.
I hope the teams will keep in mind that there is a segond leg and dont rush and do silly mistakes.
Probably will downgrade the bet from high to medium and cover with 2-1 to urugvai as sports freak suggested. Any further comments would be most welcome regarding this game .
Good luck
Ika

Id rather play Australia +1 @ 1.82 bro, same sort of odds, plus with the injuries the hosts have +1 looks good imo.

I can see were your coming from, for me goals over under is a major fade

If i had 2 bet i can see it going over. Both teams needs goals,

Diego Lugano will be back for the second leg. This guy is one of the best defenders in the world, watch out for him in 2006. Anyway, it's going to be a really tough match for the Aussies, since the Uruguayans are experts in playing defensively. But not impossible, for sure.

Well at least you europeans and aussies just have to put up with this kind of shit once in 10 years or so. Imagine having to face argentines, chileans and uruguayans at least 3 times each in 4 years. Brazilians have to. :(

SadrieL
11-13-2005, 01:17 AM
Somehow I doubt the Brazilians are bothered with those kinds of tactics when they slot 3 or 4 past them anyway.

United Arab Emirates 0 - 8 Brazil... ridiculous, these guys score like they're playing basketball.

Actually, I'm not sure but I think that Brazil has never won an official match in the Centenario. As for the Argies, every match is a battle. The one in Confederations Cup was truly an exception to the rule.

To be safest, i think the Aussies will need to slot about 3 goals past the Uruks in the 2nd leg... 1-0 is very risky... 2-0 is still too risky (if they score one back, we're back to the backyards)... need 3 goals as an insurance...
