SUICIDE BNP PARIBAS MASTERS DAY SIX PICKS!

How to play Suicide Paris:

Go here to read the FAQ (http://www.menstennisforums.com/showpost.php?p=2366171&postcount=1).

You have until beginning of match play to pick your player. Once the matches have started, you cannot pick a player. Here's a tool to help you figure out time zones (Paris) (http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/) Go here (http://www.livescore.com/tennis.dll) to see the GMT for when matches begin play.
Any late picks from here on out results in automatic disqualification from the game.
Pick one player per day (not per round) to win; if he wins, you are still in the game, if he loses, you are out.
If you pick a player who retires during matchplay or suddenly withdraws before a match, you are out.
If you pick a player whose match is rescheduled for the next day, your original pick still stands.
If you get to the SF or F of the tournament and find that the only picks remaining are players that you have already picked, then you are out.
REMEMBER: Once you pick a player you cannot pick him again for the rest of the tournament.
No changing your mind! Once you've picked a player, it sticks.
Good luck

No late picks at all will be allowed or else you will be disqualified.

Matches begin at 12:00pm noon local (Paris) time. You have until then to make your pick.

The vcash and suicide tennis glory now comes down to two, Smasher and spirta. Smasher and spirta have already picked Berdych so their last choice will be Ljubicic.

Good luck to them!

And Spooky, as I stated in my day five post " We are into the quarterfinals now which means that no late picks at all will be allowed or else you will be disqualified." That means you need to make your pick before the day's matches began (in this case, it was 2:00pm Paris time) not before the match you want to pick for begins.

Regarding the late picks today: I realize that people have more important things to do than hang out on MTF all day so I've made it so that participants are allowed one late pick (see the FAQ). After that, you're disqualified. :)

I only pick late one day

She didn't change the rules. You were late on quarter-final day and that is against the rules.

''match play'' is the start of the day's play, not the start of the match you picked. You made your pick at 3.28 pm Paris time, when match play was well advanced.

Waiting for Tangy's thread is no excuse. You can figure out for yourself who will be playing the following day and PM her.

this word is not tennis talk man, this is golf. do you ever hear tennis commentators say "match play"? no.

http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=match%20play

match play
n.
A method of scoring golf games by counting only the number of holes won by each side rather than the number of strokes taken.

match play

n : golf scoring by holes won

If it all comes down to this, ''match play'' is used on many official tournament websites to indicate the time of start of play on a particular day.

Think of it all as getting a bad linecall. You know it was in, but everybody else says it was out and the umpire will not overcall. You have to move on. ;)
