Time to steal some serious money from the Aussie bookie.

Ljubicic x Davydenko @ 2.030 (CB)

Ljubicic on fire against Blake, playing great on the big points, is following Roddick's irratic show vs Dent perhaps the real no 1 fav for the tournament win right now; even an in-form ToJo will be under huge pressure from the bullet serves.

Davydenko with huge Shanghai motivation should get the better of Tursunov. Great start from Nicky D in the first round, I think he'll keep the high level in the next one also.

Bet of the day - Ferrero to beat Berdych 1.66

I might stay off PHM, I'm kind of pushing my luck on him :o I've still got my 300/1 outright on the cards, not looking so daft anymore :ras:

If the odds for Djokovic are anything above 1.90, he is worth a shot

Not convinced the Davydenko or Ljubo are sure plays tomorrow tbh.

Tursunov is more than capable of overpowering Davydenko if he plays a solid match and Tojo's serve will be tough for Ivan to break.

I'd say that the surer matches lie in Roddick, Stepanek and Ginepri.

Agree with you Jez. I'm looking at Roddick x Ginepri x ??? parlay.

Perhaps Tursunov is, but Davy seems very ready and motivated for this tournament. As for Tojo, with all respect of his serve, Ljubo's service game is a level above and more stable than the Swede's.

I'll take Ljubo's great indoor record this season over Tojo's good form without hesitating. In a close game - should it go to TBs - I also rate Ljubo to be mentally stronger and less tense than Tojo who is known for his sensitive sides.

Any price over $1.40 for Ljubo when he plays indoors against anyone in the world except for Safin, Federer and Nadal should be considered as a gift

how come no one considers Ferrer to beat Haas... i think it's a great one to bet on.

If anyone watched the match Haas beated Nalby, you can see why... and Ferrer was solid against Max last night... Ferrer @ 2.35 is great value !!!

I like the Tursonov value play - Davy got *smoked* by Kiefer & had trouble w/ Goldstein last week. I'm throwing recent winnings on him - going for it w/ 10 units...good luck all!

Luckily, I didn't fall on Gonzo yesterday.

I love Ljubo, but probably my love is not big enough to bet on him this time. I will wait until next round. :p

Petrova is the one for me. Her opponent is virtually 'nobody'. (ranking 378, earning this year $ 4400, just had a good game though, against ranking 104, 6-2,6-1) Because Petrova is not Hantuchova, I don't worry. :D

Good luck to all~ See you tomorrow. :wavey:

Shvedova is a young up and coming 17 year old Russian who is 17-5 on the year, and has impoved roughly 400 ranking places in only 5 tournaments.

Petrova won her maiden title in this, her 9th year on the tour. I just hope she didn't party too hard following this achievement, and won't experience the common post-title letdown so many title winners have endured, both in ATP and WTA.

Taking the 2 popular favourites today in handicap plays:

Roddick A. v Hrbaty D. [Games HC] 0:3.5 @ 1.80
Gaudio G. v Ginepri R. [Games HC] 3.5:0 @ 1.80

You made me worry....
However, even Federer can lose sometimes. I can only minimize the risk, I can not completely get rid of it.

Anyway, thank you very much for your advice. Really appreciate it. :wavey:

Made a late bet on Peschke @ $1.58, she's up 6-1, 4-0. Just hoping Sesil doesn't retire and cancel my bet.

All my small bets lost, but if Roddick and Ginepri can win, it'll be a solid start to the day.
