Congrats Berdych!

Well, Coria needed to win one more match to qualify for TMC. But, I suppose, he will still qualify. Berdych played a very nice match. Coria just makes me :sad:

Berdman laid the smackdown on the weasel in a big way. Coria didn't start too badly, and Berdman was missing a lot of shots, then Coria's serve went to water and then Berdych imposed his game and was only going to lose this match through his own stupidity.

Coria only made 6 winners in the match, and there was one very good point in the match, that had everything good, one of the few good Coria drop shots, then a fine angle from Berdych and then he showed he could use power, finesse and had good movement, then later in the game missed a sitter.

Time to take out Ferrero or Wawrinka next.

Not bad for a guy who is allegedly standing still. and also the Berdman came back from 1-3 down and couldn't hit a forehand in the court, while Coria was just making too many errors, he was trying hard and he only had a few episodes where he tried to influence the officials, match didn't go long enough.

Coria, Nalbandian and Federer are the only guys to have got to at least the 4th round of every Slam this year, and Coria has to be thankful for those results. It was strange he was making a lot of unforced errors when that is not his game and the serve just let him down badly, but once Berdych got the feet moving, then he imposed on him and Coria couldn't handle it.

I couldn't follow the match with a scoreboard because the Paris website was acting like shite and not loading. I am so happy the Tomas could pull a good result out again before the end of the season. Hopefully he can pull of a few more wins here and then freshen up for a good start to the new season :yeah:

As for TMC... well I hope Ljubo can get in there because he is in much better form at present and would make the tournament much more interesting!!

Nalbandian isn't as in poor form as Coria though, then again Coria will more than likely make Shanghai and Nalbandian be an alternate.

It was an oversight on my behalf and thanks for picking that up.

So would i be correct in saying that Nalbandians future in shanghai is in his own hands now? basically if he wins the tourny he's in, but if he makes the semis/q's its still up in the air regarding how well lubo, gaudio, gonzo and puerta do.

Berdych is ideal for this sort of match. Indoors with his groundstrokes and serve against Coria - hardly a surprise that he won.

Yet another big scalp for Berdych.
