Oh yea, he definitely had a good week. Congrats to him.

Definitely, the week puts him inside the top 60 around 56,57. Gonzalez remains in top contention for Shanghai, too, so good weeks for both.

10-30-2005, 05:08 PM
Yeah, a good week for Baghdatis and a great final! :yeah:  Congrats to all Feña fans here. :D

Sad, since it was a pretty close match, but he's played really well. Congrats to Gonzalez. Does he have a chance of entering the top 50 after another tournament or two?

10-30-2005, 05:16 PM
I couldn’t watch the whole match but the bits I saw were very good from both of them :worship: Congratulation Fernando :clap2: well done Marcos :yeah:

10-30-2005, 05:30 PM
Congrats to Fena :bigclap:

10-30-2005, 05:31 PM
Fenatastic!! Fabulous Fernando played fantastic!! Marcos tried hard but had no chance against Fena who was on fire. Gonzo now has 3 titles on three different service this year. What a year he is having. What a forehand and backhand. I was impressed that Fena now is totally focused and has cut down the unnecessary errors. Vamos Fena.

10-30-2005, 05:47 PM
Congrats Gonzo !!!

10-30-2005, 05:48 PM
:woohoo: GONZO :woohoo:

Gonzo played an amazing match !!!! he is getting better and better everyday! :worship: both players were great but I'm so happy because Gonzo won !!!! :woohoo: he is definitely having an amazing indoor season and I hope he will keep playing like this in Paris so he can make it to the Masters
VAMOS GONZO !!!!! :rocker2:

Sad that someone had to lose this but happy that someone was able to win it.

Am fond of both of these players. Gonzo is having a really good fall season and I think he could make a good run a Paris.

Am thrilled that Marcos made it to a final and played well. :) I just cross my fingers that he has no more injuries and stays in form in 2006 because he is a joy to watch with real skills.

I wish I could have seen this match- aargh- I hope that it will be downloaded somewhere.

10-30-2005, 06:09 PM
Fantastic match! One of the best I've seen this year. Both gave everything.

10-30-2005, 06:09 PM

Fantastic match! One of the best I've seen this year. Both gave everything.

:yeah: it was an amazing match! :yeah:

10-30-2005, 06:39 PM
GonzoFan thank you for reminding me. How can I forget the grass title he won in the exhibition match. In Wimbledon he made it to the quarters and lost to Federer the eventual champ. So, Gonzo proved this year he can win on any surface. I just hope that next year he will win ATP title on grass as well. Vamos Fena, you are really fabulous.

10-30-2005, 06:47 PM
well played gonzo--- this should give baghdatis some real confidence, i mean look at all the players he beat....espescially nalby

10-30-2005, 07:04 PM
Well done Feña!!! :woohoo:

10-30-2005, 07:08 PM
Feña you really rock! :smooch::woohoo::bigclap:
Though I don't like his opponent and some "fans" in live score thread, he played a great match today too.

10-30-2005, 07:09 PM
Congrats Gonzo!

10-30-2005, 07:21 PM
What an amazing match :worship: - one of the best I've seen all year. Congrats to Feña - he deserved the title, - and many congrats also to Marcos who is definately a STAR :) A great match - played with style, fighting spirit - and the best attitude from both players :yeah: I loved the smile on Marcos' face - even when going out to face Feña serving for the title - what a refreshing change from some of the whiners on tour  Good Luck to both of then for 2006.

10-30-2005, 07:22 PM
Congratulations to Gonzo. The match was very enjoyable.
I thougth Bagdhatis was very likeable and carismatic, a great character on court. Well done in reaching the final.

10-30-2005, 07:32 PM
Not only was it a great match, but a great tournament as well. Congrats to Marcos, who is the new level of spirit in this game. He's had an amazing run this week but usually qualifiers end their run in the final - today Feńa was the more experienced player. Time will tell if Marcos can be a regular threat to the top50 (30?) guys, but this match was totally fun to watch and it was like the icing on a cake. It seems like Feńa has a new fan here :wavey:

I was there, the match was great, and the atmosphere in the Sankt Jacob Halle was great as well.

I had those tickets for the final for a long time, and when i saw that Roger had to pull out i was very disappointed, but the match was definitely great and i didn't regret anything anymore :)
And we also got our "piece of Roger", he got a 3 mins standing ovation when he entered the court to be congratulated for his Laureus award before the final :)

Great week for those guys and Gonzo isn't playing as meathead tennis as he has previously, and good to see him winning titles on other surfaces.

Fantastic week for Marcos, from qualies to the final is an outstanding performance and his interviews are candid and fresh, sure he's cheeky, but not in an offensive way, hopefully the injury problems are behind him and he can have a great 2006.

10-31-2005, 06:35 AM
congrats to Fena & Agustin :yeah:

I agree it was a fantastic match - too bad for Marcos - we were cheering for him like mad (yeap all those "let's go Marcos let's go" shouts came from us ;) - ok at the beginning we were only shouting alleezz Marcos the let's go came towards the end ;) ) He for sure turned into the crowd faworite but Fernando just was better.

10-31-2005, 09:26 PM
I thought this match was brilliant, I avoided the forum all last night as I had taped the match and didn't want to know who had won.

Marcos was amazing and such a character, i'm certainly a fan now. Gonzo was just brilliant though and the shots that he came up with were just stunning.

Well done Fernando for the won but thanks for both for a great show!
