Congrats, the Bryans brothers are one of the best team in the world !! I didn't think Gonzo/Calleri would have won, sincerely. Now, win the title !!!

Bryans make a great team, but we don't know who would be on top if singles players played regulary on Doubles circuit.

Gonzelez/Calleri def. Stephen Huss/Weslie Moodie 7-5 7-5 to win the Basel doubles title. Gonzo is the singles and doubles winner of Basel.

I said jokingly about a Gonzo/Gordo doubles team imagine the missles at the net that they would have to face, from the Gonzo forehand side and Calleri from the backhand. Congrats on a good week for both of these guys.

I'd be lying if I said it was a double team I'd want to face. They possess some firepower to say the least. ;)

They could be as formidable as the great team of Rosset and Ivanisevic, the Gonzo/Calleri team does have a future, if pursued seriously.

Maybe it is ignorance because we will never really know what would happen if top singles players were more devoted to doubles, but I think it is a valid argument. When you see someone like Stephen Huss at 30 years old, never ranked above 800 in singles, becoming Wimbledon champion it definitely raises questions. I doubt someone never ranked above 800 in singles would have won the Wimbledon doubles in the days when players like McEnroe and Edberg played doubles.
