NHL YTD: 49-43-4 (-1.94 units)
ML: 34-27 (+.22 units)
GL: 5-3-3 (+3.39 units)
O/U: 10-13-1 (-5.55 units)

Frustrating night yesterday. Wild blew the lead late and loses it in the shootout and Boston can't beat the Devils 2nd string netminder. Looking for a bounce back evening here. Best of luck to everyone!!!!

2* Tampa Bay Lightning (-160) Over Atlanta Thrashers - Includes regulation, ot and shootout

This could be a nice dog spot for Atlanta with them scoring a bunch but there defense and goaltending has just been horrid. TB seems to be coming into there own now. Winners of 3 of there last 4 Tampa is finally playing like they did when the won the Cup 2 years ago. Tampa beat Atlanta 6-0 just 9 days ago at Atlanta. TB has been solid on the road this season at 3-2. One thing TB has to do better in is there power play in which they rank amongst the worst teams in the NHL. Fortunate for them they face the worst PK team in the NHL. I just look for Tampa to take advantage of the struggling Thrasher defense here. Grahme will be in net for Tampa while Shields will get the start for Atlanta.

1* Boston Bruins (-190) Over New Jersey Devils - Includes regulation, ot and shootout

Battle of backup netminders here as Toivonen will start for Boston while Clemenson will be in net for the Devils. With the exception of two games this year both on the road Boston has battled hard in every game. To me this game comes down to offensive potential and from what I've seen of New Jersey this season they just don't have enough scoring power. I was very suprised to see them beat Buffalo last night but Buffalo has had it's troubles offensively of late. I think Boston has been playing pretty well there last 6 games and although they've only won 2 of them the other 4 were all 1 goal losses against very solid teams. Boston has the advantage of an extra day's rest and playing at home. High line but I think they have the distinct offensive advantage here.

1* Nashville Predators (-1) (-128) Over Edmonton Oilers

I look for Nashville to start another streak here after dropping that OT game to Columbus on Wednesday. Edmonton finally broke the long losing streak in Dallas last night but then had to travel to Nashville to play this game. Nashville has had plenty of time and they are just much better then Edmonton in just about every category. Nashville features one of the best penalty kills while Edmonton's power play is one of the worst in the league. Vokoun should continue his outstanding play tonight while Maarkanen will be in net for the Oilers.

1* New York Islanders (-145) Over Buffalo Sabres - Includes regulation, ot and shootout

If the Isles were playing a bit better I would have gone big on this one. The Isles have been very frustrating this season. At times they show talent like they could be on the best teams in the league and at other times they can't seem to do anything right. They take penalty after penalty and right now it's just killing them. Reason I'm going for the Isles here is there strong play at home. This season they are 3-1 and have played pretty well at the NVMC while Buffalo has struggled somewhat on the road. Buffalo has scored just 12 goals in 5 games on the road this season. I think the Isles will take advantage of Martin Biron this evening. Biron is getting his first start of the season and will be playing a bunch of Buffalo's next few games as they are showcasing him to be traded. Sabres are off a dissapointing 3-2 loss to the Devils last night. These two met the first game of the season where Buffalo outplayed the Isles and won on there home ice 6-4. Isles should rebound here and I expect a better effort from them right from the start.

1* Detroit Red Wings (-1.5) (+158) Over Chicago Black Hawks

Had Legace been in net for the Wings tonight this would have been a bigger play. Not going to go into detail really with this one. Wings have been amazing this season while Chicago just keeps giving up too many goals.

1* Minnesota Wild (-136) Over Columbus Blue Jackest - Regulation

Wild burned me last night. Same reason why I went against the Jackets yesterday. Wild are a very good home team and should take care of business on there own ice.

1* Montreal Canadiens (-160) Over New York Rangers - Includes regulation, ot and shootout

Can someone please explain to me why and how do the Rangers keep winning. Seriously I've watched this team and with the exception of Jagr and Lundqvist this team is very weak. Right now they've gotten by on there power play and weak games by there opponents. Montreal has played very well this season and at home they've been ok. Rangers have a 1-4 road record and I don't think it will get any better tonight. Montreal already managed a tight 4-3 win at the Rangers. My concern here is Lundqvist. I've been hyping this guy alot and he is the real deal in net for the Rangers but I think the Canadiens should score a few and Theodore is no slouch himself.

1* Ottawa Senators (-130) Over Toronto Maple Leafs - Includes regulation, ot and shootout

These two met twice this season with both games being tight games. Ottawa won once in OT and once in shootout. Ottawa is playing really strong hockey on both ends of the ice right now. Although Toronto is playing well I think there in a bit of a downtrend right now. Just think Ottawa has Toronto's number. Hasek and Belfour will be in net.

Good Luck to All!!!!

Minny -1.5 payback time, you know Lemaire ripped them a new one after giving up the goal with .30 left so to get outta the funk they win big tonight.

Also on the devils ml at 2.7 Lotta value in this play, as I see it Boston has a maybe 60-40 edge over the devils. Bruins arent particularily good at home and devils weak on the road both solid on the pp and pk but if the devils can shut down Thornton the secondary scoring on the bruins is lacking. Devils are a more balanced squad and should play lock down d to help clemmensen out. In the end too much value for me to ignore for a game that could go either way.

Shootout win for the devils and minny wins by 2, good day today
