Roddick "schools" Monfils 6-3 6-2

Yeah Santoro really killed Andy...

23 Aces for Roddick, now the next obstacle is Monfils

EDIT: Roddick shows Monfils how the serve is done with a routine 6-3 6-2 victory over Gael Monfils for his fifth title of the year.

I hope that the subject of this was meant in sarcasm, either way, I'm not seeing the humor in it ... I'd hardly call a scoreline of 6-4, 7-6 any type of a "smashing" and it's unforeseeable how one could find it amusing to even attempt to make light of such a thing. Oh well.

I saw Santoro play for the first time against Fed in the US Open and I was really impressed by his game. Andy did good by navigating around the tricky Frenchman. I am sure that his serves clicking was a big factor in his win today. Andy derives a lot of confidence from his serve so a good serve percentage invariably leads to the possibility of a win.

I am rooting for Andy to win against his mirror image (serve wise).

Just recently I've noticed how little he had accomplished in non-English speaking countries (I realize it's mostly clay and indoor tournaments, but still), and now he wins Lyon.

Congratulations Andy, though it must be hard for Monfils to lose two consecutive finals in French tourneys, but they were both to good players. Good luck in Paris (hm, but he'll likely meet Andy soon in the draw).

Awww, how cute :p You're somehow more of an uptight prude than I initially thought! Should I expect to be banned from Andy's forum for having a friendly, brief conversation with some people there?!

In reality my statement is talking about way more than just Roddick, but clearly you crave seeing yourself talk on an Internet message board, and will be belligerent about things that don't even call for it. That's ok tho, we all know the world is out to get Andy :)
