Just Back from Bercy - Monfils got hosed!!!

Enqvist was beaten by a russiand guy i think his name was Tursurov. Such a tight and exciting match. During the first set tiebraker Tursurov disputed a call and said "is the ball on the line Out in France, if it is just tell me so i can hit the ball down the middle of the court. thats 7 times already youve done that". then after the tiebrake Enqvist demanded changing 2 balls.

I also watched the Depuis match and it was hotly contested as well. know real outbursts though. most memorable shot was when depuis hit a really nice backhand dropshot winning the final point to go up a break. As usual Depuis hit several nice aces at key times and looked confident and id really like to see him take a run at this tournament but of course it will be tough. i was wrestless and just kind of bagged it. there was nobody outside so anyone could have met tons of players and i saw lapenti Mahut Dupuis and his opponent and tons of other players. Its a great tournament. sorry though no pictures this year, im sure other frenchies will post them though. im going back tomorrow for a couple hours and then on wednesday.

Oh by the way, when i say Monfils got hosed he really did. AFTER THE MATCH THE HANDSOME YOUNG RUSSIAN SIGNED AUTOGRAPHS FOR KIDS AND I HAD MY USTA TENNIS MAGAZINE WITH MONFILS ON THE FRONT..... I ASKED HIM TO SIGN THE MAGAZINE AND WITH RED MARKER HE SIGNED ACROSS THE RED SHIRT AND THEN HOSED HIM WITH A RED MUSTACHE :D

 Thanks for the report, FrogBurger.

Yes, Tursunov is Russian, but he's lived in California (US) since he was 11. Sort of like Maria Sharapova I guess, except he played in the last DC for Russia. :tape:

The problem with Tursunov (today, don't know if he's always like that), is that he's a grumbler, always talking to the empire, and after, he made aces or winning points. Well during that match, there were a lot of problems with the line empires, maybe they need to warm up a little bit

I tried to see you but i haven't seen you. At one moment, i saw someone in front of us, with the sunglasses, but didn't know it was you.

This sounds very romantic. Like the opening scene in a movie where the lovers meet and then lose sight of one another..... always looking for each other at tennis matches and not quite connecting. :)

Is Tursunov always like that ? Cause, it was a bit disturbing, yes, I remember all those moments  Poor chair empire, I think he has been very very patient with him !! He deserved a warning !! (but I'm not very objective)

You see that  the French are unfriendly swine, only in Hawaii does a cowboy get a warm welcome these days. You all know me, we see each other every year at Bercy and RG for Crissakes.

I might stop this evening for a few hours, i just am not that interested watching the men get all hot these days, im more interested in the WTA glamour world, ya know?

Very difficult to watch men get "hot" on courts 1 and 2 at Bercy, its freezing in there!

Am secretly hoping that you will get over there this afternoon and snap some photos for me, dear :worship: Wish I was there, I'd give you a big sloppy cowboy kiss myself!

Do you have a big crayon to write in that notebook? Will gladly redeem that IOU at RG...

Any and all photos of young Julien are most appreciated (not like I dont have any already...)

Hmmm, hot tennis players on ice. If Disney can make the concept work, maybe the ATP could give it a go.

i'm too shy :o
he is a bit :cuckoo: but that's one of the reasons why i love him
and you cant deny he wasnt having very bad linecalls against him... when he :banghead:-ed thomas' ball was clearly out and the umpire didnt overrulled it... even thomas complained about the line judge :o

btw it was a cute moment when thomas went to talk to his girlfriend (wife??) at the end of the match :)

Yes... :o
I told you. I was not kidding. I was litteraly the loudliest at every single matches, starting chants etc..., getting laughed at, making 'doigts' to those insulting me sometimes etc...and accompanied by some children emboldened by the fact that an adult did that so "we can do it to" who sang after me..., competing with the other players' supporters etc...:o
But always tried my best to be fair-play and that's make me laugh because i've been told my place was in a football stadium by ppl who boo players or applaude first serve faults...which i never did and won't ever make and screamed my heart out for my neighbours in the stadium to please stop doing...Really, i litteraly cried during the Lopez vs. Malisse match in front of all that stupidity...I ended up supporting Lopez just because of that.

And it was the same today but in a greater scale on central court so i was more 'incognito'...well not in my part of the arena

I was at the Nalby/Prieto vs. Benneteau Mahut match too, plus at the beginning of Seb/Clément vs the Bryans but i missed all the other matches on courts 2 and 1 because they were so quick...Were you there too?

Were you the guy saying he was playing tennis in Levallois? :o I get to speak with a lot of people since i'm so "discret" so i'm not sure...

That must have been someone from the other group of ppl shouting "Gillou" on court 1 behind the players. That day, i was in the stands on the left part of the court.

yO WASSAP?

had a nice day at Bercy i guess. i could go tonite i just dont have the gas for it. Im tired and just want a nice meal and bottle of Red Wine. anyway, my report. saw 3 1/2 minutes of lisnard Hrbaty, got a hot dog. slipped on a soda spill and and got mustard all over my nice addidas shirt. got so disgusted went outside and hung with the young girls outside; half of which were waiting for the romeos to feed them tickets so they can party with heros in the VIP Seats. i held a girls umbrella in the rain til a players father, who everyone thinks is cute brought tickets for her. then went back inside and watched Clement v Robredo. good match for a while. also chilled with Knowles who I think is one of the coolest guys on the tour. Bjorkman was charming as usual and Juline Benneteau took pictures with the fillies. so that was cool. Hopefully someone will email thier photos of them for michele. Didnt get to see Andy though. Hope to the rest of you post pics though!

What red did you choose? My poison of choice as of late happens to be Aussie Shiraz, getting too expensive to fly through the Bordeaux as it was....

Sorry to hear about the Mustard Incident, thats a bummer indeed. But at least you got to see some tennis, thats far more interesting than spending your day like me, reading Noam Chomsky.

Wish I could have been there to take pics with a sweaty Julien:p sounds delightful!

Thanks for your update. Did you get some KissCool for me???

Well yes, it happened thanks for understanding. IM actually reading 2 good books myself, one about the coming of age in the bronx, the other by the son of former plantation owners who seeks out his history and the descendants of slaves his family once held. Quite fascinating :worship:

actually its really a shame, ive never been so unenthused about tennis. I think its partially because i had nobody to go with and that its Mens tennis. All the girls i know were getting like waiting VIP invites to the orgies after the matches and i dont know any men that like tennis. I could go tonite for free but i just cant excited about it. I'll wait til the Femmes come back in February at Open Gaz, then i'll get into it. But i need a tennis buddy. By the way, if someone wants my JCF autograph on the tennis mag cover of gasquet, with also D. Ferrer and M. Knowles autoed inside, you're welcome to it.
