Great performance by the big man, should have won it 2 after having match points in the breaker, but good to see him following up his performance in Madrid.

:woohoo: :woohoo: Chucho.

He didn't do it the high way, he didn't do it the low way, he did it the Chucho way.
I almost thought about updating the frustrating thread after the breaker.

Broke in the 2nd game of the 3rd set and was good enough to hold out.

Kick on now, your only 23 i think you need to give a big push for top 20 next year, take a leaf out of Ginepri's book!!!!!!

This has been a good year for the big man and he made a QF in Montreal and put up a respectable performance against Federer, missed an easy shot against Stepanek in Madrid and didn't lose serve, and makes a QF here, not bad for someone who is meant to be just a clay player.

He has the best serve of the Argentine players, I wonder if people might believe that now.

JC

Still good win for Jose, he's getting better all the time. Perhaps George will be moving him out of the frustrating players list at this rate?

joeyd2005, I don't know if I will move him out yet, he needs to be # 29, but as skel said and I have said, he should look to Ginepri as an inspiration.

It should have been one of these matches, yes Chucho is on the right here.

But this time around, he didn't blow it.

Chucho you are THE MAN!!! :worship:
I guess his own room at mtf might be a factor
I'm sooooo glad to know that he really believes in winning match in 3 sets after blowing match point/s (?) in the second.

Well done Chucho! Keep it up!

 Don't you mean QF in Cincinnati? I was there - he beat Younes, then Tommy Robredo, and fell to Fed.

I lose interest after Sopot, so you are right it was Cincinatti, it was Gaudio and the Door in Montreal.

JC has done really well this year overall and it's been a long hard road back up the rankings. Just one more good effort in Paris Juanqui, and then you can rest :)

alot of players are now more than capable of beating JCF on a regular basis. I don't really consider him as one of the elites anymore :)
