I think that Sanguinetti @ 1.40 is the best value of the day. He is in the best form of his career, he loves HC and he will not be intimidated by the local crowd or by challenger-boy Gicquel.

Also good - Verdasco @ 1.28, maybe Krajicek @ 1.66.

Willhill don't have all games yet, but I think it worth a small bet on Baghdatis @ 2.90

I don't get Verdasco being such a fav, he's had trouble w/ Monaco & not like Verd is any slam dunk on the current surface...anyway, I'm not spotting much :(

f it, just a unit on a 10-1 (a bit more on second glance) parlay just for a bit of entertainment....
coria x ferrero x gonzo x sanguinetti x mathieu x spadea x rusedski x youzhny
now who will be the jackass to screw it up?!
probably all of 'em, good money to be made in parlaying the 8 opposites!

dbnumberone
10-27-2005, 09:08 AM
betting the opposites for $25 gives you $400,000 plus! EASY MONEY!!!!

I didnt see a lot of value in todays card

Paradorn over Novak... Novak doesnt look like hes quite found form yet after his layoff and paradorns looking solid. Novak likes playing in Basel but still think the lack of game play and ps form will be too much

then its just a fun parlay of:

Murray x Robredo x Verdasco x Llodra x Davide x Rusedski which pays roughly 19 to 1

Couple of headcases in there and hoping grosjean doesnt play better at home.

risky duo:
monfils x gicquel @4.xx

gicquel seems to play well in when he's in homeground,
as for monfils, gaudio can throw in the towel quite easily sometimes.

paradorn, eh.....I like that tip, probably be on that later...

I really don't think PHM is the favourite against Santoro.

I know PHM won Lyon three years ago, but Fabrice beat him already on HC this year and besides, Santoro has had some solid results lately (he took Ljubo to 3 sets a couple of weeks ago - how many people can say that?).

Dollars & Cents
10-27-2005, 10:10 AM
Hrbaty x Haas x Rusedski @ 2.58 (Medium)

Hrbaty(1.55): At these odds Hrbaty has to be taken. Forget the H2H lead for the Argentine as it was some time ago and less relevant. This is a clear case of a couple of victories leading to an inflated price. I wouldn't be surprised to see Hrbaty crush him today as really Indoor carpet - who should the winner be?

Haas(1.33): Baghdatis made it through Quallies and Haas hasn't won 2 matches in succession for some time. However, he is one of the old-school players who prefer these faster surfaces. Baghdatis was broken by Alan Mackin in R1 and Haas will not relinquish his serve often I guess today.

Rusedski(1.25): Always performs well in Russia and has points to defend here and after surprise loss 2 weeks ago, I see a more concentrated Greg. Kim was fortunate to get past Minar, and if Greg serves well again today, they'll be problems for the American.

'Dog' of the day: Berdych to beat Murray @ 2.10 Definitely 50/50 here and even if Murray wins this one, I fail to see him getting much further. In the end he was fortunate to beat Henman in what should have been a routine match. This surface doesn't suit Murray as he has less time to retrieve the ball then hard courts so can be overpowered. The Czech can certainly do that - however with Murray's defensive play he will need to keep the errors down.

Santoro over PHM --Fabrice played really well against Taylor yesterday ans should be too solid for him imo
Grosjean over Robredo--Seb is in good shape watched him playing yesterday as well against hanescu impressive
Srichapan over Novak
LLodra +3 games over Spadea ..should hit nicely ;)

good luck

Novak will beat the Srich.
Santoro did call for the trainer in his match yesterday, but I don't think it was too serious.

I get the feeling u cant wait to see Robredo lose a match,
although Robredo is 4-1 on h2h with Grosjean,
Grosjean used to be a better player.

Sangunetti could never be a banker i know it is easy to say now, but he is in the twilight of his career, his performances change from point to point never mind match to match.

Late money for Gicquel at Centrebet earlier as I was looking at backing Davide at $1.45 and suddenly he was out to $1.53. Luckily I didn't follow through and back him. Looks like somebody had some inside info. It wouldn't surprise me if Davide went in with an injury concern.

This basel scoreboard sucks and so does Coria at the moment. Break chances galore but only one break then gives the break back the next game. Then up to break point chances the next game and loses that game. Almost wta ish out there it seems
