The new nickname for Federer on GM.....

As we all know, Coria is called the Weasel, Roddick is called the Duck, and Nadal has recently been labelled the Pig. Therefore, Federer shall now be nicknamed "The Cow". This is because.....

1) It fits in nicely with all the other animal nicknames on MTF.

2) You would associate Switzerland with cows just as you would cuckoo clocks and chocolates. A lot of veal and dairy products including chocolate.

3) Roger's favourite surface is grass. Just like pigs love rooting in the mud (clay) cows love to graze on the grass. It makes the term "grass is for cows" fitting too.

4) Many people on here have called Roger's girlfriend (Mirka) a "big fat cow." Some may say it takes one to know one.

5) After winning Wimbledon for the first time, Roger received a cow as a gift.

6) His trademark "nnnaaaaaayyyy" slightly resembles "mmmooooooooooo"

:secret: I must confess, this work was not done by me. I couldn't possibly have thought up something so brilliant. However the author wishes to remain anonymous.

Did they come up with so many wonderful reasons to justify it though?

:haha:

Ok, even as a Roger fan I must admit this is funny- whoever came up with this has a pretty good sense of humour.

Touche. I guess this makes Rafa and Roger fans even now :p

they didn't need to, they weren't trying quite as hard as you to get back at federer fans for coming up with a nickname for their fave that they didn't like. :p

The ATP calls Rafa, "The Raging Bull"'; so, if a Roger is a cow. Who is the calf?

Scotso

It's not funny. Roger can't be a cow because cows are female.

LOL! The problem with this nickname is that one never calls a man a cow. It just doesn't work.

Cows are cute, but as said, it just doesn't work for men. Bull is taken for all the wrong reasons by Nadal, so we'll stick with Roger Rabbit or what?

Run Rabbit, run Rabbit, run, run, run
Don't give the Farmer his fun, fun, fun
He'll volley without authority
So run Rabbit, run Rabbit, run, run, run...

This has been an inside joke for a friend and I for a while now, actually, and I'd think the cow would be more appropriate than the bull.

My reason:

Marat says: Grass is for cows.
Roger says (after winning his 3rd Wimbledon title): The grass is good for me.

Enough said. :p

We'd call him the CowMan too, sometimes, so it'd sound superhero-like. But of course, there's the matter of coming up with supernatural powers... :p

I've been watching Zabaleta's tv show and the players call him "Rogelio". And I just read an article in which said that Roger sent Rafa a sms and tried to do it in Spanish, and he called himself "Rogelio" as well. Looks like he likes it ;)
