What was the longest tiebreaker in ATP history? And by long, I mean that went up to the most points...

Federer beat Safin 20-18 in the Masters Cup 2004, an awesome tie break.

Mcenroe beat Borg 18-16 in Wimby 1980 final, best tie break ever.

I'm not sure what the longest is, but those live long in the memory.

Maybe two matches of Goran Ivanisevic

*1993 ( USA open ) Ivanisevic-Nestor a tie break in the third set with 20-18 for the croat

*1997 ( Queen's ) Ivanisevic-Rusedski another tie break in the third set with 20-18 for Goran

Federer vs Safin just repeated the record of 20-18.

Borg vs Premjit Lal 20-18 (1st round Wimbledon 1973)
Ivanisevic vs Rusedski 20-18 (Queen's Club semi-final)
Ivanisevic vs Daniel Nestor 20-18 (1993 US Open)

What was the score in the McEnroe v Borg tie-breaker in the 1980 Wimbledon final?

That match didn't go to a tiebreaker. It was 21-19... in games (which is even more amazing). But the longest tiebreaker has been 20-18, which has happened in four matches.
