When are the WC's for the qualifying announced?
What about WC's for the main draw?

Who would you think WC's will be awarded to?

Either they genuinely like each others or they just can't stand each others. No grey area. ;)
Don't know what it will be with Murray but they like Henman for sure.

No necessarily. Philippoussis could get one. :tape:

Yes, because the French and Australian fed have an agreement for the Wild-cards, but I thought it was only for the grand slams ? I hope Mark will get one, would be good to see him play.

thomas enqvist would be great.
he deserves one at least for the qualifying draw as a former winner in 96

Why not Lisnard ??

I would enjoy a lot a match Roddick-Lisnard :tape: ( winning Lisnard obviously ;) )

I totally agree with you. Thomas would deserve one for the qualifying draw. I really hope he'll get it but I'm not very optimistic, it will maybe depend on his results in Lyon. He's now in the second round !

due to the withdrawals, it maybe possible for Thomas to have a wild card for the qualies of Paris. We decided, with thomasenqvist.com to send messages to the organisers, you can find the email to send on that url : http://tompaenqvist.blogspot.com/

Please send it today, it will only take 1 minute of your time !!!

Thank you

when will the WC's be announced? Andy is playing in Basel and may have to miss qualies if he gets an further, maybe they will give him a WC if he gets to the semi's or final in basel

Deea

PHM will probably get one! Or at least he should...and Andy Murray! Anyway, I kinda of pitty the organisers with all these withdrwals! No Federer, no Nadal, no Safin, no Gasquet, maybe not Hewitt...who will save the tournament this year?

Duncan
10-27-2005, 03:17 PM
i don't mind him qualifying i was only asking would he get one if he could'nt make the qualies, it would seem unfair if he was'nt given the chance to play in paris just because he got to the semi's/final in basel. In saying that i fully expect Andy to get beaten before then so there may be no problem :p

Qualifiers dont start until Saturday

Murray will have lost in Basle by then

Why do young players like Murray and Monfils Expect Wild Card Favours all the time

If they are good enough they can go through Qualifying like the rest of the Players
have to

Andy is going to attempt to qualify.

I hope Clement, and Mathieu get wild cards. Didnt Gael already get a direct entry with all the withdrawals?

Monfils is already in the main draw.
Mathieu will get one for sure as well as Clement, even if Clement is not as good as before....

It is very unlikely but i'd like Djokovic to get a Wild Card.
Could Pioline be bold and do that?
Just for the qualies at least...

The French have masses of players of their own eligable for wild cards. The idea that they would even consider a player from another country is absurd. My guess is that they will go with Fabrice, Arnaud and the third would be between Saulnier, Matthieu, Serra, Simon or Llodra. They might even want to go with Giquel who is having a great week in Lyon beating Ferrer and Sanguinetti.

Gicquel has good chances to get one, yes !! He won a challenger (in Grenoble) and plays good this week.

Does anyone know what the policy is for Qualifying Wild Cards? They seem to have 4 spaces? Will they all go to young French players? Reason for asking is that I noticed that people like Karlovic and Mayer have just withdrawn from the qualifying alternate list - so could that be because they are getting Wild Cards for example, as they're no longer playing in tourneys this week? I certainly think someone like Karlovic could do more damage in the depleted Paris field than some unknown French Wild Card - and he is more well known - just wondering - that's all.

Why are there no SE in Paris?

David Kenzie
10-28-2005, 01:18 PM
There are no SE spots for Paris because neither Basel, Lyon, or St Petersburg is at least an international series gold event.

Have you seen the order of play in Basel for today? Murray is scheduled for not before 8pm. So let him play 2 hours tonight (10pm). There is (I'm quite sure about that) no flight from Basel to Paris at 1am Saturday... How should Murray be in Paris at 10 or 11 am???? That's likely impossible.

I've got the flight schedules, and the last flight tonight was at 18.32 and the 1st flight tomorrow morning is at 7.07, arrival time in Paris at 08.20. So, it can be possible if he plays in the afternoon. There are 4 direct flights per day.
