I saw both in Madrid, Nole played bad, he couldn´t get into any rythm against Karlovic and he was defeated easily. Mello looks like he couldn´t care less about tennis in his game against Seppi. Mello is careless and Nole wants to start building up his career so I guess Nole should take this.

He played qualies in Vienna where he had to withdraw because of a nagging leg injury that he's apparently had all season. He lost to Karlovic, and now he's here.

LMAO Djokovic is hopeless, never going to do a thing of note in tennis. He's all hype no results.

All hype? What hype exactly? I wasn't aware Djokovic got much hype compared to other players. No one knew his name until a month ago.

Certainly not as much hype in the form of endless WCs and media pandering.

Well you know loads about tennis don't you!!!

I am a big fan of Murray and at the moment i would say 50/50 who will be more successful in there careers, but to say Djokovic is hopeless u are a joke mate!!!

This guy has single handly got into the top 100 without much help from the tour or events such as Muarry has, taking nothing away from Murray, Djokovic is a tremendous talent just look at his GS record this year that's what has got him his current ranking, you should have a closer look at his career and you will see he has great potential as much as any of the young guns, i predict he will be easily in top 40 next year around 32-33 would be a move in the right direction.

All hype you say????

No results, what should he have won RG or maybe the us open by now???

He has beaton Ancic-Monfils-Ginepri to name a few, give the guy a break!!
I think Murray has had better results, but they are both futures off the game!!

I think I love you.

Even though the Ginepri win would have a lot more meaning if it wasn't on clay :p

So true. :o

All hype? What hype exactly? I wasn't aware Djokovic got much hype compared to other players. No one knew his name until a month ago.

He doesn't in the media, but around here he's just as hyped as any upcoming player, and seems to be way more hyped than Murray, Monfils and the like. Maybe it's because he isn't hyped in the media and people wanna join the bandwagon before it gets too obvious. Not that this is everyone's reason, of course.

He's been talked about in MTF since the Australian Open, or at least that's when I remember first reading about him. But I guess you're talking about general audience, public and media.

Are you kidding? Just because people didn't mention him often doesn't mean they never heard of him. I first heard of Djokovic he won Aachen as a qualifer last year...

I think what I meant was more the average tennis fan didn't know who he was compared to the other youngsters who according to some posters in this thread have been LESS hyped than Djokovic. I should have been more specific in my original post, which I realize now. I would say that the average tennis fan knew about Monfils and company before they knew about Djokovic, certainly not the other way around.

And if you're off there following challengers, I think that makes you more than just an average tennis fan so my statement doesn't really apply much to you. :p
