I was not impressed with his game. If he didn't served an ace
David usually had the chance to take the point. David lowest
serve I saw was 135 km but that was enough to make the
point anyway

Is it just me, but Nalbo has had alot of crap draws this year.
Compared to Coria and Ferrero, his draw is very tricky.
Karlovic and potentially Moodie, 2 big servers on a fast indoor carpet surface is very tricky.

I have faith in Nalbo, if he serves and returns well he'll be fine.

I think another key is keeping concentration in matches, which he seemed to do much better in Madrid than in other recent matches I've seen. I had the impression he was able to put bad calls and playing errors out of mind quickly, while sometimes they seem to linger in his mind and end up bringing his play down.

I saw Baghdatis's match against Puerta in Tokyo.
He played incredible. I was very impressed. But next match against Ancic,
he played shit. He was obviously too tired. I think his fisical level has not been matured yet.
He is too young. So I don't worried about David.
Btw, Marcos is a very nice person. I like him too.

Just my opinion: he needs to work really hard on the serve-volley tactics. That's where Baghdatis got him. Since he already knew he wasn't going to win from the baseline, he should have mixed it up. Guess he tried that but was too tentative.

Marat's withdrawn from Shanghai; I don't know about Agassi. And the jury's still out on Federer. We'll see....
Here's how it all breaks down, now that David walked away empty-handed....
David must now make the semis, and Davydenko must lose his opening round match...and Ljubicic must win the entire thing in order for BOTH of them to get into Shanghai. Seeing now that Marat has withdrawn, David may still get in.

I just wonder how much playing that long doubles match last night took out of Nalbo. Still it shouldn't be an excuse, Marcos was too good.
Nalbo just wasn't at the races in the first set. The first game set the tone; Nalbo was 40-0 up and lost serve. At that point he cracked a bit mentally. Marcos FH was doing major damage and Nalbo was basically getting ready for Set 2.
The second set was great to watch. Both players played to a high level and there were loads of great rallies. Nalbo's BH was :yeah:
Once Nalbo failed to consolidate the break, you sensed it wasn't gonna be his day. To his credit he served ok, but not as well as in his other matches.
The TB summed up Nalbo's day, some great shots followed by some loose errors.
Marcos deserved to win and good luck to him in the final.

Not necessarily. It means that Agassi is the sixth man to qualify. I think Coria has qualified too because David lost today.
In any case, David has to reach the semis or better-and hope like hell Davydenko and Ljubicic lose in the early rounds-in order to guarantee himself a place without the benefit of a withdrawal.

It's said Roger's injury is serious, some possibility of withdrawal. And Mrs. Potato gonna have the baby in TMC period, so Mr. Potato said he will accompany his wife to wait for his first baby coming to the world. Though every year there's rumor said some players would withdraw the TMC, finally they all come.

According to the fan site in Japan,
Roger met an excellent doctor in Salzburg.
afterwards his injury is getting better and better miracly.
So I doubt that he will withdraw from shanghai.
about Hewitt, one news site informed that "Lleyton Hewitt is on the verge of withdrawing from the Masters Cup to attend an event of infinitely greater significance, the birth of his first child."
"HIs wife is due to give birth in mid to late November. The Masters Cup final is to be played on November 20."

Anyway, Whoever withdraws or not, David has to focus in Bercy. and at least have to reach The SF.

afterwards his injury is getting better and better miracly.

With regard to Roger, that's not what I heard. He's getting better, but he still has to tape up the injury so he can walk. He really does want to go, and I hope he does-just so the Masters' Cup won't look like a "who's who."

I don't know if anyone seen, but at yesterday's final in Basel, Roger was awarded and made a small speach.
He said he could barely walk....

Let's see what happens, but I believe Roger will do anything to be in Shangai.
