WTF happened??? I stepped away for a quick breakfast and come back to 5-3 Ljubicic. Did Nalbandian implode?

 Jimbo. Pff no idea who will win...maybe Nadal 60/40. Ljubo is probably gonna be extra motivated in that he is likely to pull out next week and have a week off.

Well, I don't know. Nadal hasn't played spectacular tennis for his previous two matches, but his opponents can't close it out.

I hesitate to say Ljubicic can beat Nadal, but if anyone had a chance in this tournament, it's Ljubicic. Ljubicic would have to play a clean match, one resembling his Indian Wells match against Roger, to beat Nadal.

I am pulling for Ljubicic, but I know he will have to play the best match of his 2005 tennis season. Better than his davis cup win over Andy.

Good luck Ljubicic!

I very much doubt that Nadal will be playing next week either, and possibly will skip Paris as well.

at least he'll be rested for his showdown with Roger.

Well, I don't know. Nadal hasn't played spectacular tennis for his previous two matches, but his opponents can't close it out.

Can't say he played anything close from bad either. In these surfaces, you just know he won't always get the control of the point, especially staying so far behind the baseline like he has, and that's his game. Stepanek has taken a set off him on clay, and could've done more than that in their QF match, as well as Ginepri, but couldn't close it out as you said. Their fault and/or Nadal's merit.

I hesitate to say Ljubicic can beat Nadal, but if anyone had a chance in this tournament, it's Ljubicic. Ljubicic would have to play a clean match, one resembling his Indian Wells match against Roger, to beat Nadal.

I hope he does that, play some clean tennis, lots of aces and less bizarre errors as some I saw in his match against Nalbandian. His matches against Nadal have been close, and this is indoors, it's supposed to help Ljubicic as it's his best surface. Nadal will have the crowd and mainly energy to his advantage, so kinda makes things equal.
