has david found a new coach ?

10-22-2005, 10:27 AM
yeah i was wondering if he had found a new coach because he plays very well this week, so is it because he has a new coach or something like that ?

10-23-2005, 12:56 PM
could it be?

10-23-2005, 02:14 PM
well i don't know i just ask :p

10-23-2005, 06:33 PM
Well, I think nodoby knows...
Besides, I don't think he've found a new coach because here in Argentina the media is always talking about the possibility to go to Shangai, but nobody tells something about his coach.

I don't know. I don't have live tennis to be able to tell.

well guess that if David would have a new coach it would be in the press..so guess he is stil without one

In Madrid they introduced only his physical trainer Diego Rodriguez and no coach. Perhaps we'll have to wait till next year if it happens at all. He is doing well and without a coach.

i have heard that salatino (a tennis journalist in argentina), said that he was talking to david, and that he has already chosen his coach, and is not from argentina, we will have to wait to see if this is right.

Really??? I'm sooooooo curious!!!

11-05-2005, 01:06 PM
Did he give any hint about it? Nationality, other players he has trained?

I can't say as it's not confirmed, but he has trained an RG champ in the past, that's all I will say for now.

Sounds like someone with very good credentials.
Thanks for the updates Frula and GWH. :)

Maybe at the end of the tennis season, after Shanghai perhaps.

11-05-2005, 01:33 PM
I hope so! Because I'm very curious :)

11-05-2005, 01:44 PM

The thing is if I mention a name and it's the wrong then I look like a boludo (arsehole to the non Argentine Spanish speakers).

11-05-2005, 01:52 PM
just pm us GWH :)

:haha: I understand what you say, but you're saying that's not official, so you wouldn't be claiming something, you would just be mentioning a rumor, that might or might not be true ;)

11-05-2005, 02:24 PM
i am very curious, salatino said no names, and gwh didnt say a name either.
knowing how david is, i wouldnt expect him to do an announcement, we will have to wait and see who is he working with.
is a good coach or not?

11-05-2005, 03:39 PM
Yeah, you're right, he won't make an announcement. I'll get to see him in December in the Copa Argentina, I hope I can get to see who the coach is :)

11-05-2005, 06:19 PM
If it is who I think it is, then I won't tell either.

11-20-2005, 05:46 PM
he has said who is his new coach, pancho mastelli, or something like that.

11-20-2005, 07:09 PM
Any idea who he's trained before? Where's he from?

11-20-2005, 07:16 PM
i made some search and i think you mean Francisco Mastelli frula

11-20-2005, 07:19 PM
i found an interview of Luis Horna who say Francisco Mastelli is his coach, he is argentinean.

11-20-2005, 07:20 PM
another information i found on the davis cup website :

he is a former team captain of Argentina :)

11-20-2005, 07:24 PM
