NHL Thursdayjackieglover 10-20-2005, 07:37 PM Taking Atlanta at $2.20 for tonight. flmmkrz 10-20-2005, 08:36 PM TB is struggling huge on the power play and atlanta has enough fire power to be competitive during 5 on 5 but the goalie situation for atlanta is the big question mark but their is some good value in the pick. Gl jackie. I'm on florida -1.5 + 120 against washington and Toronto -160 ml over the canes. Squad of tough canadian boys at home should rough up the canes. coreyschucky 10-20-2005, 08:55 PM NHL YTD: 29-26-2 (+1.86 units) ML: 17-13 (+2.57 units) GL: 3-3-2 (+.64 units) O/U: 9-10 (-1.35 units) Sorry no time for any comprehensive writeups. 3* Toronto Maple Leafs (-145) Over Carolina Hurricanes - Includes regulation, ot and shootout Toronto has played very well of late and I think they continue here at home. Carolina has played pretty well this season but they are a weaker team on the road. 1* Buffalo Sabres (+150) Over Boston Bruins - Includes regulation, ot and shootout Buffalo has been a very solid team so far this season. Not as strong on the road but I think they have a good shot here. Buffalo has shown some nice spurts and with there young team they are capable of upsetting anyone. Goalie advantage also goes to Buffalo here as Miller has played very well in net for the Sabres while Raycroft has struggled for the Bruins. 1* New York Islanders (-120) Over New York Rangers - Includes regulation, ot and shootout Yes the Isles were outplayed and they got a tremendous performance from Dipietro but guess what they still won and should have won in regulation. Jagr's goal was luck as it was an own goal that won't happen again. Isles have always been a very good home team and I think tonight you'll see an Isle team that plays much better then they did last night. Dipietro is expected to start again while Weekes will be in net for the Rangers. I think the Isles will take advantage of a rusty Weekes here. Had Lundqvist been in net this might be a different story but the Isles have the distinct goaltending advantage. 1* Nashville Predators (-1) (-157) Over St. Louis Blues Just like this Nashville team. Not too high on the Blues the Predators have been solid at home while this is just the Blues 2nd away game. Back 2 back night won't help the Blues. 1* Vancouver Canucks (-140) Over Phoenix Coyotes - Regulation Love the Canucks in this spot but and although they are worth the -225 to -240 I've seen I prefer the regulation line. Not too many teams can compete with the offensive skills of the Canucks. 3rd game in a row for the Coyotes on the road and there coming into there most difficult game. Canucks are 3-0 at home with a +8 goal differential. One of those wins was a 3-2 win on opening night over the Coyotes. Vancouver I believe takes this one in regulation.
