According to the Bangkok english language daily, The Nation, Paradorn Srichaphan will ordain as a monk in end of November:Paradorn also set November 25 as the day for his ordination as a monk, a religious ceremony which almost every Thai man has to perform as a form of gratitude to their parents. He plans to become a monk for seven days at the Thung Setthi temple, which is not far from his home.

In my long association with Thailand and Thai people, I find it gratifying that they still hold on to their cultural values. Usually, men ordai temporarily during after the age of twenty or before getting married. Thailand is a lovely country and people are wonderful.

But these monks don't have sex willingly.:p

Thank you :D This is so sweet
Yup yup he has to shave his head and eyebrow too. I think he will look so different. Anyway, this is a very good thing for Thai men to do.

The Thai seem to have many beautiful traditions and it's great to see that Paradorn, despite being a tennis star, still holds on to them.
