Kafelnikov's retirement: Will he or won't he?

If he makes the final or wins, he won't retire.

If he does poorly, he will retire.

It's kind of like Wayne Ferreira. No matter how hard he tries, he can't retire because he has some good results right out of the blue. Coincidentally, Ferreira was Kafelnikov's former doubles partner.

Why did YMan drop him for Haarhuis?

Also, Y-Man is climbing steadily back up the rankings. He's just outside of the top 20 again.

I don't know. Maybe they needed a change, that's all. Maybe TheBoiledEgg would know.

Kafelnikov's retirement: Will he or won't he?
In answer to this question I'm going with what Marat said last year...

Q. Will Yevgeny actually retire if you win the Davis Cup?
MARAT SAFIN: That is the question without any answer. I cannot give you the answer. He says yes, but, you know, he has like seven Fridays in a week."

Based on a recent article, it looks like he will retire. I'm 99% certain. ;)
