Is this a challenger or the Madrid qualifying rounds? madrid qualifying :) Saumon 10-15-2005, 01:27 PM Novak  silverwhite 10-15-2005, 02:01 PM Novak :( delsa 10-15-2005, 02:04 PM I think he's still injured. His leg which made him withdraw in the quallies of Metz must still bother him. Not a good situation to face the Giant Karlovic... :sobbing: vincayou 10-15-2005, 02:55 PM :banghead: NYCtennisfan 10-15-2005, 02:58 PM Nice stuff big Ivo. Novak needs to improve his serve and then he will have the complete package. He didn't serve all that well at the USO and still had a great tournament. Black Adam 10-15-2005, 04:43 PM Novak :banghead: At least Ivo gets the chance to do well on surface that he is capable of having some reasonable results ;) prima donna 10-15-2005, 05:43 PM Karlovic is actually a rather entertaining player, in an amusing way that is. It's hilarious, watching him attempt to actually play tennis. You know, groundstrokes, coming to net and using a strategic approach. We all know that he has the serve down, but tennis is as much a game of chance as a game of skill. Anyone can get 1 lucky break and for Ivo that's all he really needs. It's tough not to like the guy though, he seems quiet and humble ... unlike that other guy on tour with the 150mph serve <whistles innocently> ... what was his name again? Roddick/RoboRod. Anyway, good victory for Karlovic, but a tough opponent to face when you're fairly new on tour and haven't seen him before. This would be a tough task even for Federer, nice effort Djokovic. :) Jogy 10-15-2005, 07:11 PM very good, I hope that Karlovic served triple dozens of aces to Djokovic to destroy him! take out big gun, Ivo! :) Your time will come to make better ranking soon! KoOlMaNsEaN 10-15-2005, 08:08 PM  Tobi 10-15-2005, 08:57 PM Ivo :yeah: I also love to watch him, trying to pick where to serve,I am generally wrong  adee-gee 10-15-2005, 09:01 PM Ivo served at 74% Unstoppable  Galaxystorm 10-15-2005, 09:06 PM Unstoppable  If your name is Agassi, no serve is unstoppable :worship: Jogy 10-15-2005, 09:56 PM If your name is Agassi, no serve is unstoppable :worship: When Agassi is served to his reach he returns best. But when Karlovic going to corners where Agassi has to move he has lots of problems also. musefanatic 10-15-2005, 10:05 PM he's just a ace machine but i've never thought karlovic had much of a gane to him, maybe cos you don't see it enough cos he never gets a game going! El Legenda 10-15-2005, 10:06 PM If your name is Agassi, no serve is unstoppable :worship: Davis Cup March 2005. check that aceit 10-15-2005, 10:12 PM  But congrats Ivo. savesthedizzle 10-15-2005, 11:52 PM Since when do qualifying results get their own threads in GM? Anyway, when I saw the draw I knew this would be tough. Karlovic is never pleasant to face outside of clay.... I hope Nole's leg is alright and that he'll play and do a little better in Lyon. El Legenda 10-16-2005, 01:08 AM Well Novak has (in fact) been injured and (apparently) the only person who thinks Novak is supposed to be top 10 in a few months is you. everyone is injured when they lose, I mean if Ivan loses tomorrow, its got to be cuz of his back. croat123 10-16-2005, 01:09 AM Well Novak has (in fact) been injured and (apparently) the only person who thinks Novak is supposed to be top 10 in a few months is you. i never said he'd be top10 :o  a couple of months ago i was talking about how he cheated at the uso :) Chloe le Bopper 10-16-2005, 01:25 AM Playing within the rules is not "cheating". It would be nice if somebody would look that word up before using it for once. Truly pathetic. I love being a Karol fan... unlike you my life is not dependent on whether he wins matches. I never feel the need to insult him when he loses, as you and your posse do with Mario. I'm sure Karol appreciates my being a fan of him... but do you think Mario would like your name calling? Jimnik 10-16-2005, 01:57 AM Well done Ivo :worship: Karlovic is actually a rather entertaining player, in an amusing way that is. It's hilarious, watching him attempt to actually play tennis. Anyone can get 1 lucky break and for Ivo that's all he really needs. It's tough not to like the guy though, he seems quiet and humble I think so too. Everyone who meets him says he's a really friendly shy guy. I really enjoyed watching some of his matches this year (eg Hewitt at Queens this year). Sometimes I think it's just fun to watch his opponents get so frustrated. Billabong 10-16-2005, 02:39 AM ..... Flibbertigibbet 10-16-2005, 02:50 AM feel free to post a quote of me saying he'll be in the top10 in a few months wait? what's that? ancic beat beck this week...ouch, being a beck fan sucks :wavey: anyways, i don't have time to argue with you, believe what you want :) At least he's not so irritatingly petty as you seem to be - I mean, he could easily go "Ljubicic - never been past the third round of a Slam; Ancic - sucky LOL; Karlovic - nothin' but a serve :D; and so on," but he isn't, is he? While you feel pressured to use a player's losses (one that inexplicably happens to be one of his favorites) against him. And at least he supports said player despite such losses. I can't say that much about you... I♥PsY@Mus!c 10-16-2005, 07:34 AM Ivo :yeah: | |
