No doubt, well played by Ferrero, it was a good match with long rallies. But Nalbandian's errors increased so much in the 2nd set  Not totally sure about the exact numbers, but I think Nalbandians basliness errors have been 80% more in that 2nd set in 9 games than compared to the whole first set that saw 12 games plus a tiebreak.

:bigclap: now with David out, that makes it easier for Ljubo to win backtoback titles

These argentine guys ( Gaudio, Nalbo ..) would be the world champion in racket throwing

Good throw Nalbandian , but Gaudio did it better :worship:

Gaston is in the lead by a few thousand points...

Nalbandian just seemed to lose his concentration in the second set.

I thought the same about the racket throws  Gaudio's one was much more agressive and furious it seemed. Of course, overall, Marat is still the all time champ in destroying rackets, hitting net posts, net signs, umpire chairs  ;)

Gaudio's throw was more powerful, but Nalbadian's technique is much better..

Have you seen Nalbandian's racket damaged by both sides ??, that's technique :yeah:

I agree Marat is the overall champ but we have to wait until the end of the year to crown the current year's winner.

Nalbandian has good technique but he needs to add some power to his throws.

.

Safin is so superior in racket throwing that it's better doesn't count him if we want to have a closed competition and not an announced winner

You don't know to appreciate art :nerner: ( Technique doesn't need power )

:haha: :haha: :haha:

But power and technique make everything better dear...

Ahem. Moving along. I guess Marat is sidelined this year so we can't count him in the tournament. Will the winner be crowned after Shanghai?

BTW Marat watched his l'il sis take Hype-ova apart today. He looks really good.

JCF has shown flashes of his former self this year but he can't seem to keep it together for an entire tournament. He played some great tennis against Roddick in Cincy and then fizzled out in the 1st round of the USO. A title, any title will do wonders for his confidence.

:yippee: Good solid performance from JC :yeah: :clap2:

A bit of help from Nalba though who completely fell apart in the 2nd set. That game David played when he dropped his serve, at 3-2 in the 2nd set, was a shocker.
But credit to JC who seemed to be covering the court very well and made it difficult for Nalba to hit winners.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! I'm so happy for Ferrero its about time he got a decent win like this. At the same time I feel a bit sad for Nalbi he's one of my favorites and I love his game as well. His passing shots and Juan Carlos are among my favorite on the atp tour. Way to go Ferrero maybe you can make the final and win the whole thing. :bigclap: :yippee:

I'm glad you enjoyed them. It was amazing seeing him play again. I had been able to chat with him a few times during the first night in NY and after the matches were over I was standing outside my car in the parking lot talking on my cell (practically everyone had left), when I heard a car trunk pop in front of me, looked up, and there was Pat & Josh putting their bags in. So I told him how great it was to see him again and that I hoped he played better the next night in Phili. He said he bloody hoped so, too. And what really made it special was that he remembered me the next night and after his last match he came over to me (I was still sitting in my seat) and gave me his towel, which he had signed. I was stunned, to say the least. And it took me weeks before I came down to earth!
