Jean-Rene Lisnard, top 30 within the next 12 months?

It's nice to see another french youngster make his way up through the rankings.

It's also worth noting that in 2 matches against Federer, he has taken 6 games - that makes 1 set, and we all know that anyone who can win a set against Federer has to be pretty damn good.

Revolutionary Rene is up against Rowdy Robredo today, it should be one hell of a match.

Allez LISNARD!

otherwise, the Brits would be forced to make the sequel of that TV series "Allo Allo", they only must add "Jean" to cafe owner's name and off we go ;) The Brits would be ironic again, as Lisnard lost both matches to local another young and promising player - Tim Henman ;)

Please not. Why this thread? Did he win a match? ( ) Sorry i didn't follow tennis results this week...
The only good thing about him winning is that it must have made him stop whining for a while...
Or maybe i'm mean and he has changed loosing something like 15 first round matches in a row...He was forced to admit the height of the net, the gamesmanship of his opponent, the umpire or whatever external thing had nothing to do with his defeats...and work on himself. Or er... maybe i'm dreaming...

If after seeing him by first time you develope a mental disorder , don't worry, it usually happens

Vasilis graced the Challenger in my hometown back in April - he was the 2nd most entertaining guy there besides Emin Agaev - sadly, Chris Guccione was the eventual winner of the event.

Perhaps in 2006 I can take a Weekend at Burnie. I'd love to giggle at Guccione's fluid game, and reminisce with Dick Fromberg.

Viva Burnie challenger and as for Lisnard, as he was once pronounced by commentators as jeen reen, he is the Austrian killer. Marach was leading 2 sets to love and lost to him at the Aus Open, then Koubek that the seizure and then took out Melzer.

No, I live far, far away. I am joking for the most part, but in all seriousness it is my goal to get to the AO in 07 or 08.

This is true, as the possibility of seeing Guccione and Fromberg pair up in doubles is worth traveling the world over.

Lovely JR won futures in Croatia and reached semis and quarters in challengers earlier this year. He also double bageled Eco in DC last week.

Now it's time for him to show his world class tennis in Monte Carlo.
Easy first 2 round matches against Almagro and then Monaco. Can't wait he kicks Nadal's ass in 1/2.

No.

Lisnard should have done more, he has a pretty good clay style.
