anyone know why X pulled out?

He didn't pull out - he just got direct entry into the main draw because he was high on the alternate list and both Richard Gasquet and Robin Soderling withdrew through injury. So Xavier will definately be in Paris Bercy.

What happens to people like Paradorn who are playing other tournaments this week get into the quarterfinals and on? Do they just get dropped from the qualifying list?

Yes. If Paris was an IS they might have had an SE, but they can only have SEs for tourneys of a similar level.

I have given up on Novak Djokovic getting a wildcard into anything a long long long time ago. He's never gotten one before, I doubt he'd start now. The best news for me as far as wildcards are concerned is that it means Santoro will get out of the alternate list here and Novak will move up a spot. Haehnel too. Get all the Frenchies out of Novak's way and a few more injuries and we'll be set.

That's what I meant. The chances of Juan getting a Wild Card are about the same as Nole's

There are 4 Wild Cards in quallies and 3 in the main draw - so you should be OK ;) I still need 8 for Juan to get there though - so think I will :bigcry:

He's playing tonight his quarter final in Basel and the qualies start tomorrow morning, so a bit complicated for Andy to be in Paris !

The French Serra has a WC for the main draw, so he's not anymore in the list

For the qualies, I'm sure Llodra will get a WC for the qualies, but is he still in Lyon today ?
Hope Enqvist will get also one !!!
