Holy Shit. I didn't think i could edit the title. Sorry I thought I could only change the post itself. Guess I should have tried it earlier. If Roger continues to mix up pace and direction, David is a dead man.

Hey Dirk don't give up on him that fast!!
I know it's a though loss to take. He just somehow hasn't found the recipie to beat that guy. (And gee I thought he had after the Blake match. But I guess the break till this mach was too long he had far to much time to think about it...) He even won the first set and I thought that should bring confidence - unfortunately the opposite was the case. He went to fast for the shot (o.k. kuddos to Nalby he placed the ball very well and had an incredible return) and all of a sudden he's serve was off to. Even though he managed to level the second set he never showed really showed confidence.

Roger next time please show more confidence à la
Kopf hoch, Brust raus!!

It's called nerves, Dirk. David has beaten him since junior days and has left a big scar on his psyche that just won't go away. If he was confident yesterday he would have been serving aces and his first serve percentage was about 50%? or he would have made those s&v's look like a piece of cake, and those smooth bh down the lines took a vacation yesterday. sometimes i felt he wanted too much and was not patient enough, and voila, made those ue's, balls flying all over the place. on a good day, Roger would never play like that...Nalby kept his cool, and he was playing solid tennis out there.
If he loses to someone like Nalby over and over again, then he's not ready to be looking out for #1.

Darn why didn't Jarkko thake him out ;)

Yes guess that's the key point he wanted it to much and got blocked again...

... and I thought he's over that now but looks like he's an other hurdle to take till he really get's what he deserves. Oh well look at the bright side next year he won't have to defend that many points - and Nalby may get higher in the rankings so they won't face each other that early again ;)

Roger keep up your head!!
Couse we need you for DC!!

bur crucially, roger won't admit it, which makes him look like he attended the martina hingis school of denial. he repeated time and time again that nalbandian wasn't his "angstgegner" at all and that he was fed up with those remarks. oh well... :help:

Beat your wrong cause David has never ever beaten Roger. Roger makes alot more errors than winners so he beats himself. David just guides him to that position. Roger shouldn't have a block with him and I hope he overcomes this streak, but with his poor attitude in the press room I am not sure if he will. They were pressing him but rightfully so. HE IS THE BETTER PLAYER AND SHOULD BE BEATING HIM. Its all about taking responsibility for your talent as Courier once said.

Time to bring this thread up to date I think :-)

David may have been a little off yesterday, but Roger played the right game (finally!). Now he knows he can beat him, bet that'll make a massive difference in his head for future encounters.

Phewwww, so glad Rogi got the win. It is an emphatic way to end a domination :D

Feel a little bad for David, he was playing so well. Hopes he will get a slam one of these days to get the recognition he deserved.

:worship: Getting better, Rogi!! A crucial win and Nalby wasn't playing badly either... Rogi won even tho he didn't play his best tennis but he'll have to cut down on those UEs and be more confident vs. Juanqui, who will be determined to beat him [after all, Rogi did snatch away his #2 spot]... I love them both and hope for a great match!

Marat, just beat Baldy, OK?

Wow, 3 of my very fave guys in the SF!!! I'm so excited... too much talent and too much beauty!! ;)

Tangy, Dirk created this thread after the 4th round of the USO (and we were all feeling a bit :( right then)...have a look at Post #2 to find out what the title of the thread was originally!

Glad to say those days are behind us...(although I expect there will be some ups-and-downs in the h2h to come).
