NHL YTD: 11-12-1 (+.67 units)

One play for me today. A couple others look interesting but I'm making solid cases on both sides for Overs and Unders so I'm laying off. Will also try and do a breakdown on types of bets in hockey so far sometime today or tomorrow.

5* Philadelphia Flyers (-165) Over Toronto Maple Leafs

The Flyers win is to win in regulation, OT or shootout. Well before I get to the teams this falls under the 3 in 4 trend. Leafs have played 3 games in 4 nights and the 3rd game is traditionally a loss for that particular team. Although the Leafs are home they don't match up here against a stacked Flyers team. Flyers are well rested since there last game was on Friday. Flyers seemed to put things together midway through there game on Friday with the Devils. Down 2-0 the Flyers scored 5 unanswered lead by the strong play of Simon Gagne. Gagne seems to be the one who's benefited the most with Forsberg in the lineup. In net for the Flyers will be Robert Esche. Esche needs to come up with a big game as there are some rumors out there that backup netminder Nittymaki could see an increased amount of playing time in the next few weeks. Toronto is in the midst of a 3 game in 4 night run. They've lost both of there games in tight fashion losing to Montreal 5-4 and Ottawa 6-5 (Shootout loss). Last night's shootout loss was especially tough considering they were down by a couple of goals then stormed back only to blow a 2 goal lead. Not to mention this was the 2nd time they've lost to there rivals in a shootout this season. Sundin is out for the Leafs and I'm pretty sure O'Neill will be out as well. Top to bottom the quality is on the Flyers. They are the front runners to win the Eastern Conference as I expect them to put up a big performance tonight.

Good Luck to All!!!!

Gl corey, only play for me today is

blackhawks blue over 6.5

both teams arent tough defensive teams and both are off to slow starts and could use the win so I see 5-4 type game.

Personally speaking I hate the leafs but I know they aren't losing forever here I thought ottawa would be the win and it almost was but I could see Philly going down. Especially if Esche comes out shaky again. Thus I couldnt bet big against them right now

Thanks FLM...Good Luck to you too!!!!

1* Chicago Blackhawks/St. Louis Blues Over 6 (-145)

Suprisingly enough the Hawks even with Khabibulin in net have been an Over team in the early on. Totals of 8, 9 and 5 in there 3 games. The young hawks have done a decent job on the offensive end scoring 2, 3 & 3 goals in each of there contests. Rookie foward Vorobiev has been in the center of it all with 4 goals and an assist on the season. The Blues have also been an Over team to start the season but more on the end of there opponents. St. Louis has conceded 4, 5 & 7 goals in there 3 contest with totals running 6, 7, & 13. This one I think ends up with 7 or 8 goals. Either way I see this game being a 4-3, 5-2 or 5-3 type game.

Good Luck to All!!!!

Esche looked to be off again, hopefully Nittymaki will start getting the bigger share of games. Have him in all my pools banking on a traditional philly goalie debacle.
