Well some weeks ago luxemburgish newspapers wrote that Gilles started working toghether with the same coach that coached Claudine Schaul after her tournament win in Strasbourg last year over Davenport!
We all know that after that victory,Claudine did not manage to win a hand full of matches till today!Ok it was her on court all over the season, but did that coach manage to help her mentally? does not look so....
And now look at Gilles recent results( he started with the new coach after the US Open) and please tell me he does not have the "Claudine Schaul" syndrome....

He apparently comes alive in all the slams. Beating nadal and roddick and such, pretty good results in slams

Don't tell me he is having it
well it looks so....
I mean,he plays his best tennis when he is under pressure (1st round USopen) to loose then very badly when he can play without pressure!
Its was the same with Claudine; in the Strasbourg final she bageled Davenport in the second set and kept her nervs toghether in the 3rd to take the title then!
but after that she did not stop loosing to players, she had to play without any pressure after that
This really leads me to the question: is playing without a mental pressure another kind of mental pressure?!
what do you guys think? :wavey:

OMG :scared: :scared: :scared:
I didn't even know Claudine had a new coach after beating Davenport to take Strasbourg title .
I hope the same won't happen to Gilles, because it was really really sad to see Claudine being trashed by everyone in the tour, week in week out! :crying2:

Never go with a coach with a bad record..

This coach sounds really bad news. I suspect even Federer would struggle to win matches if he dared spend to much time in this guy's company.
