Thanks NYCtennisfan. Never hurts to have info twice when its good news! lol!
Glad to see Madrid do the right thing. I enjoy watching doubles...its really making me sad that it may eventually be phased out all together.

Hi there Nciofan. I haven't seen you post much lately. It's nice to have you around again. :)

 Madrid TMS are such a bunch of idiots! How did they get control of a professional tennis tournament?!

^This is being proven true day by day. How foolish do they look now?

I read in an article in the Daily telegraph(London) that Madrid had pulled out the doubles because there was a suit by players against the ATp for the new doubles rules. I think the ATP stinks for tampering with doubles.

They were acting like a bratty child for a moment but at least they came to their senses

its about time they did the right thing!!! it would have been a very bad move had they banned the doubles!!! :boxing:

^I don't think it was ever going to happen. Hopefully they will have some really good matches there to forget about all of this.

Good move :yeah:
They should never have taken away the doubles in the first place.

Tournaments will not be the same without doubles! I'm glad ATP made the Madrid tournament officials reinstate them!

Just shows public rants work :):yeah:

Good that they are putting the doubles on! The whole deal was just ridiculous! Plus I would freak if I had tickets and there would be no doubles!
But fun message to the doubles players... "well, we don't really want you here, but we have to tolerate it because the atp is making us..." The players must really be looking forward to going there... stinkin' Madrid officials
