I wish that Nico had gone to Vienna.

I was thinking the same thing as I was looking over the list Nicofan. Wish he was playing Vienna too-and Fena will be there and that would be good for him. But Nico did improve over his performance last week so hopefully the trend will continue. Beuna Suerte Nico! :hatoff:

Hola Nico fans :wavey: I am here is sunny Stockholm, so thought I would pop in to say I have watched Nico practising at lunchtime today - with the lovely Gaby of course. Have to say he didnīt seem too happy  - there were lots of young kids about, playing and shouting and running around and he was getting really snappy about them - poor Gaby had to tell him to chill out - you know " .....look theyīre only kids having fun - donīt stress so much!!" Hopefully he will be in a better mood for the rest of the week. I will do my best to watch the match with Nieminen - Jarkko is a big favourite here (being from a neighbouring country) so Nico will have the crowd against him - but hopefully he will be OK.

More when I can get another Internet connection.

Thanks for the report Rosie! :yeah:

Have a nice time there and cheer for our boy :D

10-09-2005, 12:48 PM
Good luck to Nico and all Chilean people and tennis players :) ;) !!

10-09-2005, 01:02 PM
Thanks dtiger!!!

Thanks Rosie for the report...ah, poor Nico, he's stressing. Two bad losses, and again, he has so many points to defend over the next 4 weeks. Could go down to like 80 in the world if he doesn't do well.

Thank goodness Gaby is there, and yes, the lovely Gaby. What a cutiepie! lol!

2005 - what a sucky year for Nico. I really want this year to be over - for good or for bad, let's just end it, see where he is, and then he and Gaby figure out the strategy for 2006.

10-09-2005, 05:55 PM
FYI - I just saw the OOP for Monday - Nico isn't playing.

So it will be Tuesday.

BTW - its Nico's birthday tomorrow so we can't forget to put up a Feliz Cumpleanos thread either late tonight (he is after all in Sweden 6 hours ahead of Chile time so he'll be turning 26 at 6:00 p.m. tonight Chilean!) or first thing tomorrow morning. Glad he doesn't have to play on his birthday - he can relax, eat cake, and have fun! Though not too much fun cuz he has to be ready for Tuesday! :-) :-)

10-09-2005, 09:14 PM
now we're 1 hour ahead of New york;) We had a change of hours

We have to find a way to get a message to Gaby...tell him to please please please do something for our Nico...its getting distressing.

Besides... he's wayyyyy toooooo cute to keep losing. ;)

And Madrid is the first tournament that I get to see on TV since I saw live action at the US Open.

So I want to see my Nico a lot in Madrid....which means that he has to win!!!

10-13-2005, 03:08 PM
Sorry that I do not have a report for you guys as I did not see the match last night  I was planning to watch it, but it was on late and I had been watching a lot of tennis all day, amd my friends wanted to go back to the Hotel to shower, change etc. So as I didnīt want to be alone in Stockholm late at night trying to catch a taxi on my own, I left the venue with them. So sorry I canīt help you with a report at all - sorry - I didnīt really mean to desert him  . Good Luck to Nico in Madrid.

10-13-2005, 03:25 PM
No need to apologize Rosie! :wavey: You gave great reports and you can't make all the matches. Have to make the best/safe choice for yourself.

10-13-2005, 04:07 PM
Hey Rosie - know what that's like...been at tournaments all day too - its a long long day. Hope you're still having fun, and appreciated all your reports during the touranment!
